The Red Bull colour scheme was really nice, but that's been easily surpassed now, what a stunner, hope you get many years of enjoyment out of your Ducati! I guess as we get older it's not about having the latest & greatest bit off kit anymore, but like you say just appreciate how lucky we are to have what we have. I've had my Ducati for coming up to 9yrs and couldn't part with now.

Thank you mate, I agree, this on another level now. Yes its not all about the latest and greatest, this is more of a rolling piece of art. So cool you have been enjoying yours for so long. All the best 😎🙏

Thank you mate, it's certainly a looker! Yep I'm really happy with the black and red combo, I wasn't sure if it would look right but it does! 😂 Yep I was going to sell it after the makeover but think it would be a crime to let it go now 😬 Hey & thanks mate, I appreciate it! All the best, Griz 😎🙏

Outstanding Grizz.Absolutely better than honestly I thought it was ever going to turn out. No.idea why I thought that?🤷🏻♂️ You have absolutely done such justice to this amazing classic.It's truly beautiful;A Work of art. Elated for you Buddy.You've put so much into this project and it absolutely speaks for itself. Trendmendous.I thought , and I commented on an earlier blog that you would never improve on the look of the Red Bull, but mate, you have fair surpassed it.Absolutely Epic renovation. Don't ever part with that now I think you just might possibly regret it for ever! Much respect as always.Stunning ending. Or rather Beginning!!😉👍Good luck mate🙏

Great to see the 916 back in Red Griz, it looks beautiful. I had the same issue with my fuel connections. Fortunately I had a set spare, but I’m going to change over to metal ones for long term ownership. I put a 1098 side stand on mine and it helps with the bike lean and heart rate😉. Keep the vlogs coming mate. Take care.
@SixthGearMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, thank you, urs great to see it finished at last. Yeah those fuel connectors are a nightmare 😫 definitely worth upgrading to metal ones though 👍 I need to do the sidestand mod as it's not good for my heart as it is 🤯😂

Mate she is STUNNING!!! I’m in awe of how pretty she is! Reference the stand; I swapped mine for a 1098 stand - straight swap and she sat more upright than with the standard stand! Much more easy on the heart and I binned the block of wood. 898 stand would work too mate. Hope that helps! 🤩
@SixthGearMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, thanks yep she sure is pretty! Ah cool, I knew you can use a 1098 stand but not found any at sensible price, but I didn't know a 898 stand will fit too. Hopefully I'll find one as the lean angle is scary! 😨😂

Hi Griz, that paint work looks stunning I bet you're chuffed! I came down to Cheddar a couple of weeks ago, so many cyclists in the gorge with cars queuing behind them. I never got to have a decent run through there.

I love your comments about wanting to rip her up the street, but also treating her gently. I'm in a very similar situation, got one of the original 916's from the Cagiva factory, built 1994, the gadge I bought it from also covered it in stickers, however, it's trick as fook. Full on one off Termi carbons, increased sized airbox, all fairings carbon, Brembo wheels & brakes (the Cagiva versions were Brembo wheels not Marsh) Fox shocks, I have her stored in my yard, take her out for a wobble every week to so, but the temptation to twist that wrist..... Good Luck, safe rides. Mick.

the rear ride height adjuster being seized is a common problem. however it's easily resolved, just remove and apply a little heat to the locking nuts and adjuster itself and it should come free. remember the lower nut with the marks is left hand thread
@SixthGearMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, thanks for the tip! I tried that and it didn't budge. I ended up replacing it with another and all is good now 👍
@GRACEORT2 жыл бұрын
This ride height adjuster is not there for lowering or raising the seat height, that’s a foolish misconception. It is there to alter the geometry and steering of the machine and requires someone who knows what they are doing to adjust it along with other things on the bike that are affected by its alteration. If you refer to the user maa add manual it clearly states there how fundamentally important that is for safety of the rider!

They always had false neutral …I had 916 then 996 SPS both suffered with that . I’m in middle of restoring 748 with 853 conversion . Full nut and bolt …spent fortune 🙈
@SixthGearMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, best of luck with that restoration, it's definitely a expensive hobby! 😂 Mine doesn't have a false neutral issue, just a issue with the neutral light, I've got a replacement neutral switch which will probably fix that though 👍

Thank you mate! Ah yeah, its a bit of a nightmare, the 916 will fall over it leans so far 😂 I fitted a new ride height adjuster last weekend and it's improved a little but could still do with a longer sidestand. I hope you get yours sorted 😀👍

I know your not supposed to pick your bike on looks, but that's nearly impossible with the Ducati line. I personally, bought the 1199R and 75% of it was because I think it's the best looking Ducati out there!

Hi mate, yeah I know what you mean and what a awesome bike the 1199R is too! Such a beauty! I used to have a 1299, its the one I really regret selling if I'm honest, I could happily buy another even though it had it faults, it looked amazing, was super comfy and went quite well too.. 😆😂
