I bought two of them myself back when they came out. They were nice in every way except one, and that's that those liveries weren't printed directly on, they were transfers, and at least in the case of the samples I got, poorly applied. The edges had very obvious silvering on them, didn't contour well with the ridged body details underneath and weren't stuck down well, began peeling and chipping at the edges soon after I got them.

Excellent update and I do like how you do your weathering. The new additions are great to , the repaint was very good and the weathering to the chassis of the 47 was another good job . I can’t see what the issue was with the footbridge though . Enjoy Warley. Cheers Kev

Superb layout and I think your weathering looks brilliant. Someone always has to be negative these days and this is very noticeable on RMWeb these days, normally by people who do not do any modelling at all! Best ignore these people and carry on sharing these superb videos of yours showing off some brilliant stock. I have just about completed respraying my own 67007 and what a trial getting the decals on the corrugated body sides! My layout appears on KZbin under the name Tractorclag which is a friend of mine. Parkway is my layout.

I don't model a modern layout, but I do like them, and I really enjoy your videos because you have a really convincing layout and some brilliant modelling skills. I can see the amount of work and time you've put into that footbridge and I wouldn't worry about certain comments, in fact I'd make it even bigger by adding the additional structure to the top of the lift shafts that would be there to house the lift mechanism. As long as you are happy with it, and trust me I know the pain as built a footbridge from scratch too. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next video. All the best, Lee.

So sorry for your negative comment from a so called interested individual I think the footbridge/lift is a fantastic build My only comment is yes the clearance from the platform edge to the structure would be somewhat too narrow on that island platform in particular I don’t know how I got it but I have paperwork which gives many minimum dimensions for us modellers to work on converting real world dimensions into our relevant dimensions based on our modelling scale ie from the rail to a platform structure it suggests as a minimum of 5’ 4” in real world dimensions so in OO makes it 22.25mm Sorry if I sound like I’m a rivet counter I’m just offering my enthusiasm to your cause Keep up the great work!

Ignore people like him, I've got something similar where there's very little space between the stair cases & the platform edge. Leave it alone, you've spent many a hour making that overbridge, by the way, what an excellent layout, its given me lots of inspiration, top job.

Hi. I haven't got a KZbin channel but as a new modeler I have relied on channels like yours to help. I never understand why people can be rude about proples layouts. Other people can always give helpful tips or advice and that is good but harsh criticism isn't. Keep up the good work

Nice update, layout is coming along a treat. Interesting that you’ve simplified a major junction, I’ve ripped a load of track up that never go used recently too. It really helps with realism where things don’t quite look the same, although as you said, a little bit of weathering in will help. Your graffiti and weathering is fantastic. Where did you get the driver from for the Rails 47812? There’s definatley a lack of modern day OO drivers available with hi-vis 🤔 Anyway, brilliant layout and look forward to the next update 👍

Thanks very much - really appreciate your comments. What got me thinking about the track work was Everard Junction - I can’t remember how many points Richard has there but it’s a really low number hence the good running. I painted the driver myself - I think it was from Model U - the good thing is that because they’re hidden in the cab you don’t need to worry too much about perfect painting!

@Mooresbytube1
@Mooresbytube1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks - they are lovely little wagons aren’t they? It’s a while since I did them but from memory I got the airbrush on them to give them the usual treatment with acrylics and then sealed it with varnish. Once it was dry I used a pinky white acrylic with the airbrush pressure turned down low. Once this layer was dry I used a coarse flat brush with a touch of thinner to wipe them back on the hoods. Once I was happy with the look I gave it a 2nd coat of varnish. Good fun to do 👍🏼

That Scenecraft bridge is just perfect at 12:10. Your new bridge is way over scale, far too high and swamps the platforms. .. Go for the Victorian design rather than that boring custom built modern age looking monstrosity !!
@danielwalker2613
@danielwalker2613 Жыл бұрын
The footbridge is far too wide for the centre platform at 1:01 . ... Just look at the space between the upright and the platform edge as shown by the poor passengers trying to squeeze past it. .. That would never be the case in real life. Apart from that, a pretty good representation of modern image modelling.
