Hey we just got a 2014 Countryman S yesterday and today we got the code P13C9 and the mini system is stating it lowered the engines input. Would you recommend i change the solenoids to see if that fixes it?
@axlsnakedog
@axlsnakedog Күн бұрын
It might, but unfortunately its usually the timing chain thats the problem. Altho sometimes changing them helps, and you should put new ones in anyway if you do the timing chain. We actually changed the timing chain and guides on the mini in this video, unfortunatly we didnt get footage of it

Hi, nice to meet you. I'm about to change the brake pads while watching your great video, but I noticed that you didn't open the brake fluid bleeder valve. Is it always necessary to open it or not?
@axlsnakedog
@axlsnakedog 4 күн бұрын
@calimaxi1 depends on the car and what you're doing. Some do take i off(it's not wrong to do so). i dont usually take it off as i do one caliper at a time. If you had the car on a hoist and removed and then compressed all 4 calipers at the same time, then it would be an issue.

First of all, thanks for posting this very informative video. Question, Does a bad catalytic converter causes O2 sensors to fail frequently? I have a 2019 Cruze just like yours and the O2 sensors are failing pretty much every year in almost same intervals. I only have 58000 kms (Canadian) on it.

@@waliap9986 thank you im glad it helped! And yes a bad converter dosnt help, how is it running? Does it use oil? And im canadian to lol, 58 000kms is not much this shouldnt be happening every year. Add a bottle of seafoam, and or a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to a nearly full tank of gas once every 5 or 10000ks it should help, also check the plugs see if any are fouled or oily, they should all be a tan color at the electrode.

Thanks again for the awesome video that helped me tremendously. I found that someone had at some point in time changed the timing belt and only the timing belt. They also didn't alight the exhaust cam correctly, it was off by one tooth. This might explain why the check engine light would come on (p0420) I was about to change the catalytic converter. I might wait and see what happens now that it was done correctly. Again thank you!

I spent A LOT of time behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Victor (not the Super, just the no-badge standard model) as my first car back in the 1970s when it was already regarded as an "old" car. Funny how there's "ordinary" old from the first blush, when it was only maybe 15 years old, and now there's seriously old.... I actually don't want to dwell on how old it would be now because I'm even older than that!! A comfy car to ride in - even though it's just a bench and you can't adjust much at all, just click the seat forward and back a bit. 3-spd is just fine for not being in a hurry! Although, I have to admit in a moment of madness I kept my foot down for a long time - actually for miles - on a nice divided highway and the speedometer crept up to 80 mph!! I would never do that now - traffic is 4x what it was, and so is the Highway Patrol!! And honestly they aren't geared for sensibly running at anywhere near that speed... the engine sounded like it might burst at any moment!!
