slowed it down to 0.3 speed because the p1 barricade buster move was not making sense and i am no less astounded at the speed/precision

It's not at all obvious, but if you switch from Spark to Storm (after the bar has filled up), you get a brief damage boost. Enough to two hit the first three phases.

Because 9 hours is your first try. You'll learn each boss' patterns, and you'll figure out the full depth of the combat mechanics with practice.

Yo Dircashede there’s actually a glitch on the 2nd phase as well but it is pretty rare. Where you can actually skip the 3rd phase entirely.

Yeah I know. We separate it on the leaderboards because it's completely different to just quick killing P4. The devs have been made aware of it ages ago and I'm kinda hoping they patch it out some day.

Been playing against bernard for years now and years to come, im just trying to get that no hit run against him, any tips?

Hard to say without seeing where you're having trouble. I think Bernard is relatively lenient as a no-hit compared to other fights (he doesn't have dynamic homing shots filling the screen like The Line or The Star). He's a very rigid fight for the most part, a lot of his later phases are fairly calculated in terms of cycling a few attacks before a bigger one. Problem just is that it's a long fight with a lot of attacks to learn. A valuable lesson might be to get a good understanding of when you should be attacking back. A lot of people will just spam fire without much thought and it causes the boss to dodge or counter-attack and make it worse. So maybe treat it as a turn-based thing, only attack when you have a reasonable opening, and devote your focus to dodging while the boss is doing attacks. Also if possible, try to keep Bernard at the top of the screen, a lot of his attacks are much easier to dodge if they're coming at you from that angle (especially Phase 5). Good luck!

Nice! Glad to see your runs again! 0:52 Also that third phase was crazy! I didn’t think it was possible to finish that phase before he does any energy attacks!
