A great player and an excellent manager...he would have made a fabulous england manager....he wouldnt have kept picking the same failures who relentlessly let england down tournament after tournament....great club players but gerard, wilkins, robson, shilton, lampard and that horrible little rat who was ALWAYS in the team even though the ball had to be in front of an open goal and even then he'd possibly miss, raheem 🤮 sterling....only in the team because he was black...fckin garbage...kendall would have given him a second chance, then launched him...

He was fearless. It's a lost art the diving header. He's the firat player I think of regarding that. I use to think He was disrespful cos he Never mentioned Everton. I didnt realise his heart was broken.. WHY couldn't he have stayed n played when resting , new signing Lineker? Linekar was great for us, but I think a little of the fear factor was gone from teams facing us when Andy grey left...

No doubting his ability as a footballer, however as a human being? Remember Robbie Fowler's most famous goal celebration? 😉 If you were Andy's best mate, just watch your wife son 👍

Im not an Everton fan, but that team they had in the mid 80s were brilliant. And tbh andy gray scored all types of headers in his career. Terrific player.

I've been an Everton supporter since 1968 and the 1969/70 title winning team were fabulous! but to me the greatest Everton team won two League Championships in 1984-85 and 1986-87. We also won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985 against Rapid Wien 3-1, also reaching 3 FA Cup Finals in the 1980s, winning it in 1984 against Watford 2-0.... 2024 now and how times have changed, fighting relegation again but this time with a 10 points deduction and possibly more for being found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. Poor ownership, dreadful boardroom decisions, poor management and bad signings have taken this once proud club to their lowest point in their history! a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock is hoped to be completed for the start of the 2025/26 season, I only hope this new stadium can bring the good times back. COYB.

I mentioned AG on a post a while back and I had some total prick come back at me quoting stats and telling me he was crap!!! Spoken like someone who never saw him play. Nobody who saw him could hold such an opinion. He was pretty much the only reason I went. In fact when we bought Lineker I stopped going. I was truly disgusted. Have been a few times since but the bitter taste has never really gone away.

This Everton team around 1985 was legendary some greats in the team but their fans seem to think only Everton could of won the European cup had English clubs not Been banned after heysel but I think Liverpool could of well won 1 or 2 more in that 5 year period to be fair , double winners in 86 and despite losing the cup final in 88 went unbeaten in 29 games from the start of the season ending with just 2 defeats winning the league in style arguably a better team than in 86
