I, too, am in my metalcore stage of life, Lauren. Not that I was ever out of it.😂

i've worn bright red to a wedding before i knew it was an upstaging color... in my defense it was a destination wedding!

I hattttteeee when people talk during speeches. I offer photo and video, and when I do video for couples and people are still cackling and having conversations during the speeches makes me have the highest of blood pressures. I glare at them across the room and curse their existence. LOL

As a photographer myself, I am upfront with my family photographer every time, Hey-We don’t show our kids faces on social media, please don’t share any photos with our kids faces showing. They know upfront, and usually she plans to take shots without our kids faces showing just for *me* to be able to post and they come out beautiful, usually silhouettes or everyone walking away.

I once had to photoshop the face of one of the groomsmen because for the entire wedding he was like the most intense frown, and I legit just had to build over his face with him smiling in like 4 photos where I just needed evryone to be looking okay

Loved seeing all three of you on the same podcast!! I will say I find myself going to tiktok instead of KZbin for how to's. Let's be real we are the Amazon prime get it today generation. I don't want to watch a 20 minute KZbin when I can learn it in 30 sec on tiktok!!

On the subject of the Goodhue thing - there was actually a plugin for Lightroom 5+ years ago called the PresetRipper that did the exact same thing, the concept has been around for a while

I'm with Lauren about the Norovirus. I'm not even a wedding vendor and I have no desire to catch Norovirus from anyone lol. When the kids come home from school sick with it, I feel like I'm trapped 😂

Hello! I’m very indecisive on how I should create guides, but I’m finally gonna start after watching this ep! 😅Do you suggest making these as pdf files or do you create a page from your website? Any tips or recommendations would be helpful 🤓

When you upload it into Lightroom, it is already duplicating the files because you’re storing it in two different places. Redundant!!!

I import using photomechanic to two separate drives. Then I cull in photomechanic or use aftershoot, then import into lightroom only the photos I need in there

I know that you are typically on the sides you are on (Mike on stage right, Lauren on stage left), but because you are both looking in the opposite directions when you are looking at each other through your screens you might consider swapping your placement when you do remote recordings like this so it looks more like you are looking at each other, instead of off camera.

I also realize that all I am offering is criticism and should round-out my comment. This setup looks great! Lauren, especially, your lighting is *chef's kiss*. And the audio is top-notch, which matters more, obviously, when doing a podcast. Can't wait to see all the cool guests!
@thevendortableАй бұрын
Appreciate it, Matt. This setup is a work in progress and we will be ironing out the kinks. Hoping to have it fine tuned by the end of the year! Appreciate the feedback, truly!

If you need to go out and drag someone in this manner after your wedding. I am going to go on a limb and say.... I don't think you should be married and need to re-assess your priorities.

I’m on the photographers side and the bride seems like a nightmare but she should have just sent them the unedited photos. If she didn’t want to send the raw maybe just the unedited jpegs. At the end of the day it’s photos of the bride and her friends and family. Just send them the unedited versions, not like you’re gonna do anything with them anyways. Her style is great for her Instagram page but doesn’t fit all circumstances. When I got married our photographers sent us all the unedited photos and raw videos including the edited gallery and we paid much less than what happened here.

I’m so excited for this episode. I preach how florals are incredibly expensive- and that clients should be looking at inspiration photos in their budget - not 100k Pinterest ideas. Can’t wait to listen.
