Miss Angie is a heroine of mine. She showed that fluffy girls were sweet soft and sometimes fragile. Her voice didn't sound like anyone else's. Miss Angie was my teenage, Janelle Monae. Artist, performer and songtress. You have to listen to Over the moon and under the sky. She does the entire main vocal, scatted plus, imitated bird calls. Her Phylis Hyman, Anita Baker, Lalah Hathaway, Conya Doss, LEDISI, and Jill Scott are on the same wave length of R&B soul w a touch of sophisticated jazz. They are some classy ladies. I remember two of her big hits from back in the 80's. I didn't even know she had so much more music but I heard Under the moon and over the sky about 10 years ago and that set me on the path of trying to get as much of her music as possible. She had a lot of great songs.
