Are the baking soda tabs ok?

This is bad advice. Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) will raise ph slightly and alkalinity a bit more. It will take alot to get things moving, and will effect both chemistries. Sodium carbonate (soda ash, or PH up) will raise ph much more effectively and with little effect on total alkalinity. All things considered, PH up will be more cost effective. “Big Chemical” isn’t out to get you here, but misinformation certainly is. I have been building and servicing pools since dinosaurs roamed the earth, so take my advice for what its worth.

I used a grinder for decades, but now I use a Dremel 8193 grinding stone, more precise and no need to clamp the blade down. I use a string and modified washer to check blade balance.

What Segway failed to share is that they have place a hard limit to the map range boundaries. If you buy a 1/4 model, you can’t map past that. My lot is 1/4 plus 200feet. I can’t map my full property because of the extra 200 feet. So I have to remap and cut corners so I won’t go over. Just another way to force you to buy a more expensive robot.

And I don’t know what to say because I have to go back to school today so I’ll be back to work tomorrow so I’ll just be home tomorrow morning if I don’t get back 😮

I believe ANYBODY when they say don't use an angle grinder while he is holding his angle grinder WITHOUT THE GUARD IN PLACE ...you of all people should NOT use an angle grinder ... I concur. Me, well ...I'm 65 years old, have been a stick welder, then MIG welder, then stick pipe welder, then TIG pipe welder on mild, stainless, chromium, titanium, aluminum, copper nickle, hell even plastic one day. . . and not a single time have I ever picked up a grinder with no guard on it and use it. . . hell, I will " lose my mind" on a coworker if I catch him in the process of doing that...everybody suffers in somewhat when that disk rips his hand, chest, face open.

Real quick. Baking soda is food grade sodium bicarb. The stuff you buy at the pool store is possibly food grade, but more likely, less than food grade. The "evil pool store" isn't trying to sell you anything other than sodium bicarb but at cheaper prices than what (in this case) Arm & Hammer wants to sell you. The amazon link in the description is $16 for about a 12lb bag. The stuff the "evil pool store" carries is going to be about $20 for a 30lb bucket. Don't be fooled by video creators in sunglasses, they often don't know much more than FUD.

After all these years of toilets being in home and how they have evolved, there is no easy way to keep a toilet from getting mold and deposits remaining inside the ring where the water comes out around the upper ring of the bowl. Then the toilet bowl just gets a moldy ring. So the bigger question remains. How do you keep the water holes from getting filled up with mold? I have used distilled vinegar to some level of success but who knows if this will harm the workings of the tank as well?

They also hate sprinklers. I set up a Sprinkler around my bird feeder and they hate it.

Yup, have the same exact bag, haha. I’ve always thought with test strips, Total Alkalinity should be at the top, because it directly affects the effectiveness of the other chemicals.

I bought the Chapin and it worked great but only for one season. The motor , pump, and battery gets leaked on by whatever's in the tank. Mine quit the second summer. I will by another sprayer, but NOT the chapin.

Is this the only thing you need to keep a pool clean ? Or what else should I buy besides baking soda ?

I've been sharpening/balancing mower blades for 50+ years now, and have experimented with, and tried almost everything imaginable. In my honest opinion, _by far...,_ the easiest, most expedient, and most pleasurable way to to sharpen these blades is by using a 4-1/2 angle grinder, with a 120 grit flapper wheel, in conjunction with one of those 'articulating arm' contraptions that holds/guides the grinder. (Don't try to freehand it!) The best _balancer_ I've found is the Oregon balancer (or one of the knockoffs). Don't even get me started on trying to balance a blade by using a nail-in-the-wall or whatever. Once you have the Oregon balancer, you'll understand why the nail-in-the-wall method or the cone balancing method really don't work that well -- if at all. ;-)

The best way to test your levels is a good test kit, not strips.

100%… a friend of mine turned me on to arm and hammer clear balance tabs. Been using them for the past 2 years and they work amazing. Along with proper chlorine levels is all you need

My husqvarna has been decent. It had three mower decks under warranty, and the engine has been off twice for oil leaks,not too bad considering it's a 2005,has 327 hours, just change the oil and filter once a year and grease the spindles on the mower deck a few times a season
