After I sketch I bring it into illustrator to vectorize it and afterwards sometimes I take it into blender to make 3D chrome designs.

Let me know if you'd rather see more videos with a VoiceOver or just text/silent vids. 👇 One more thing to note, this isn't a video about how to draw/sketch letters as you will see I go straight into drawing letters and that's because there is no secret. It takes time and practice for you to develop that skill until eventually you'll have a "go to" style/look for a given letter that you can then build upon. This video is about showing my process of sketching and providing some tips for how to get started because I know the hardest part about designing is knowing where to get started.

Honestly, I would just find some grunge textures online, make a new psd file with just the texture and save it. Check out texturelabs.org if you don’t know where to look for textures, it’s completely free.

No I exported everything behind, infront, and the disk itself separately then in premier pro I layered them on top of each other and just a simple keyframe rotation on the disk only

I started by finding a type/font I liked online and I tried to replicate that style but with different letters to make a different word. With enough practice I’ve been able to create some really typefaces without the need for a reference photo infront of me.

The way I started was by finding inspiration on insta or Pinterest and then trying to replicate the style but on different letters. So instead of just copying I would learn different styles and form factors. Practice, practice, and practice so more and you’ll see great results!

The main type I custom made. The only fonts I used in the "ex.2" chapter are "Allura" and "Zapfino" both from adobe fonts, but I'm not sure if that's what you're asking for.

Well all the of the typefaces were custom made unless you were referring to the last example, it was “Carolingia” from dafont I believe.

One more thing to add, your canvas size will affect the strength of the effects. My canvas size is 2480w and 3508h for reference, if your canvas size is bigger or smaller you might have to adjust the settings I show on screen to get the best results.
