I think I would've trimmed the stuff on the substrate a bit more. The moss looks a lot better.

I had a lot of bad luck growing plants initially so I let go of the decorative elements when making an aquarium environment. As time has gone by my tanks are now able to support plant growth....no CO2 in all but one. I had a whole lot to learn about aquariums than I ever realized and it seems learning and patience is paying off a bit. These things might not apply to the CO2 aquarium I don't know. I am not sure how long tanks are left active. Neither good or bad it feels like just a different process. I do know that with time and some learning maintenance for the tanks is not as tedious as it was. It's still something I want to do but it's so rewarding to have positive results instead of frustration. Well, I'd like to focus now on decorative/structural ideas more than just the jungle approach...although nature always creates symmetry on its own. Your videos are presented so well and always a touch of light heartedness Enjoy the cinematics too. Would like to learn about the issues one might encounter in a tank with CO2 newly set up.

Love watching and always learning from Greenaqua. I am 62 years old and have kept fish my entire life. Aquascaping has always fascinated me. Greenaqua has inspired me to attempt it with a 90u show tank. Thank You ❤

Sorry to hear that. Maybe these resources are not available. Maybe it is just too expensive to buy in your country. 2nd hand, forum swap could work in some cases to save on the costs. Thanks for the support and for watching from such a distance 💚

Fine filter pad needs to be before the biological media like matrix. Matrix is very fine pores that dirty water will block and all that myth about matrix and anaerobic bacteria won’t work. It doesn’t work anyway because of the biofilm on the media and even clean water won’t get to the micro pores. That’s why oase uses plastic media and have in on the bottom of the canister filter , the turbulence moves it and it doesn’t get blocked.
@GreenAquaShop
@GreenAquaShop 18 сағат бұрын
There are many ways to do this. We never used this method as fine filter mesh is mainly there for optical reasons, not to help bio media. If you have too much organic waste in your filter, it means your filter is not big enough for the task. How effective is it? We have a pretty good track record here on KZbin as well. Cheers 👍

@GreenAquaShop 18 сағат бұрын
There are many ways to protect the glass. You can use rubber mat for example if the stone is really heavy. Sometimes it is just enough to place the stone on the substrate. You also can use plastic garden dividers. Use something which does not have effect on the water and the live stock.

I just have a question. I have taken a lotta seiryu stones, but came to know that they change water pH a lot. Should I stay away from seiryu Or is there any way of making them inert???
@GreenAquaShop
@GreenAquaShop Күн бұрын
There are many great examples of using them. No worries; just be aware that this slightly changes the water parameters. Based on that, you might need to adjust a few things.
