Drop Roller used to give you Ninja Squid? No way..

It's kind of a shame that most of the amiibo gear abilities feel like after thoughts, like they've been pulled out of the devs arses or randomly generated. It hurts since many of the amiibo gear are so cute or cool to use. If Splatoon 3 hadn't given players a way to swap main abilities that applies for ALL gear including amiibo, then these gear would not be as widespread as they are now. I could tell because the school cardigan and fringe loafers from the s2 inkling girl amiibo were introduced in Splatoon 2 but significantly rose in usage, especially in high level Splatoon lobbies and competitive, in Splatoon 3 despite being a rarity in Splatoon 2 only seen in casual and low level lobbies at best.

I think a good way to rework drop roller would to be allowing the user to offset their super jump from their marker some and having some momentum in that direction to help as well in order to prevent people killing you before the ability comes into effect

I find Drop Roller extremely useful with the gold dynamo roller. Gives me a few seconds after I land to fling a wall of ink lol. It's gotten me out of so many bad situations.

I think a good buff for the ability that I’ve heard thrown around a lot would be for it to be able to be usable on reefslider right after the explosion happens

I think Drop Roller should work with Reefslider, like I doesn't make sense thematically but Reefslider's biggest weakness is its predictability so being able to roll away after using it would help a lot

As someone who mains Sorella Brella in S3, I just wanna clarify that most of us neither use Stealth Jump, nor Drop Roller. Since that 500HP shield does a good enough job at protecting our landings, equipping those abilities is a huge waste for a main weapon that's already incredibly gear dependent. The amount of Brella players actually using those abilities is an extreme minority. Anyone who has mastered the weapon will tell you not to use either of them and to instead use that main slot on one of the many abilities Brella depends on to perform at its best.
