Please don’t apply that or any kind of bug spray in or around the water and make sure you’re clear of it to where it’s not missing and blowing into the water system or around it at all that will kill every organism and microorganism in the creek. please don’t put it on your legs and then get in the water not just here but anywhere This stuff is really bad even sunscreen is killing the crustaceans and phytoplankton and fish and fry and the waters that we swim in but deet and even the ones without deet are really harmful to any outside ecosystem. I was born and raised in the deep south and I will tell you something that works thats not quite as harmful unless you’re getting in the water with it all over your skin, but try Vicks vapor rub around your temple veins on your wrists veins on the back of your knees and around your jugular on your neck and the mosquitoes won’t bother you hope this helps. The Walmart equate version works just fine.

The plates that had "HOT" were probably from a hotel dining toom. Dishes made for restaurants were heavier stoneware. They frequently had the name of thr hotel or restaurant on the bottom

If they complain that you don't pick up enough maybe they should get out and pick up trash. I've done trash pick up and tied the bags of trash on my horse and packed carried it out of the wilderness.

Kyle, in high school, I loved photography. I wanted to be Ansel Adam's when I grew up. Sadly, there wasn't much market for amateur nature photography. The only way I could make an actual living would have been event photography and I wasn't into that. So I put my camera away. If I find it, I'd love to send it to you. It is a Pentax that I git for my graduation gift from my parents in 1994. That's definitely vintage...ugh...gosh I got old! 😅 I'd love to see it go to someone that loves the hobby. And you've given so much to me by letting me tag along on your adventures and inviting us into your life. Next time I get into this closet, I will look for it and then if I am able to find it, ask you for an address to send it.

I just discovered you this morning. It was AMAZING to see you pull the jug out! My mom's family was always into ceramics, her dad had several ceramic stores and made slip for local schools. When I started doing genealogy I discovered they were direct descendants of the Delay and Archer families of Burrow county Georgia--there's a family tree in the book you showed. George A Delay 1828-1864, he died from wounds from the Civil War) married Sarah Jane Archer (1833-1916). They are my 4th great grandparents via my mother's father! :)

Debris from floods/hurricanes/tornados. The brick is probably the remains of a fireplace or house. You could potentially find ANYTHING that was in a house/garage/store.

KZbin recommended this video to me so I thought I'd share it. I've got no affiliation to him but I figured it was interesting. He got so much from the ground, bottles, plates, glassware, cups 90% pre 1900 and unbroken, one not opened with its contents still inside it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIXEpHSKjsl3qtksi=_Tyi7W2nHSVEazTZ

Thanks for the pics! I love to see you trying "vintage" photography. It was pretty high tech in my day😆 My first 35mm camera was a Yashika. Love it and still use it even though they don't make the battery for it anymore. You might try black and white double exposure with your camera. It's a fun way to experiment with subject, light and depth ❤

Have you found out what those odd rock formations were that were full of holes & agate like? Being all so much on the surface in piles, isn't it odd? If they were very old they would have been buried, not on the surface. It reminds me of some odd slag. But whatever they are, where did they come from & hope you find out what it all is.
