Sweet! Glad you had a good time and got some footage. I did it today, in reverse, in a stock GX460 with Falken Wildpeaks. Amazing trail, nice video.

Very nice. Maybe my next offroad trip will be there to Sublime Point. We did the descent to Diamond Creek Beach and spent a night there earlier this year in 2023. Now I'm looking for another road to travel. Haven't been to the North Rim yet. I think we might have a contender right here. Thanks and God bless.

Thanks for the video! I ended up grabbing one for my 3rd Gen... a few questions: Since the pulley is smaller on the LCE Alternator, did you have any trouble tensioning the belt (was there enough play to do so?) Swap the belt out too, or no?

Brad must be busy. You could call the local Moab BLM office: www.blm.gov/office/moab-field-office They manage most of the land around Moab. The National Park Service manages Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. The U.S. Forest Service manages the land just to the east of Moab in the La Sal mountains.

This may seem like a silly question but I'm just getting into doing stuff like this and I wondered what is the etiquette if you come across someone coming the other way. A lot of the videos I'm watching these trails are kinda tight with now room for passing.
@davidlecroy4323 жыл бұрын
Well you may have already figure this out by now but it all depends on the situation. Always be mindful of a pull off or a wide spot that you could back up to if the other person doesn't have one closer. Other than that just keep fingers crossed you don't come up on another vehicle in those tight spots.

Do you think it would be possible to make the trip in a 4x4 Yukon and small camper?
@wlfmachine4 жыл бұрын
A Yukon would probably do fine, but I'm not sure a camper would be good unless it had a full offroad suspension. There are some tight spots and some spots with a steep uphill that a camper would struggle on.

Does anyone know if the trails are still closed ? And how rough are the trails could a rav4 awd make it? Or do you need some ground clearance
@joeellison84764 жыл бұрын
I drove a mile into it about 5 months ago before turning around because of waning sunlight. 9" ground clearance to even start the trail. There are man-made moguls about 20 ft past the trailhead to prevent dumbasses from trying to get back there in ill-equipped vehicles.

@@wlfmachine @joe did you have any issues with voltage drop? I installed my LCE HO alternator and when I’m at a stop my voltage drops. If I have the A/C on, i can hear the fan motor slowing down. Did you have any of these issues? I did the big three at the same time with 2awg wire. LCE’s supplier is telling me to use the 8awg wire they sent before they are willing to help. That doesn’t make any sense to me. Any advice would be appreciated
