Holy swaged fittings, Batman! Was looking for a good explanation of swaging and this excellent video did the trick!

I just picked one up that I'm almost 100% sure is the same manufacturer, but the stamp has corroded off of the side of the anvil but underneath the foot and the serial numbers are in the exact same place and you can make out the NY in Brooklyn, New York and it's stamped 166 for its weight. Which when you put it on a bathroom scale it weighs 166 lb although unfortunately mine has a lot of pitting across the face, debating if it's worth fixing or not

Might the sheep headers have been Basque instead? In the early 60s near Williams, most of them were Basque, and they ran the sheep up across the Verde, crossing north of Bloody Basin every Spring.

It's not well known except by some old cowboys and they think it's neat. They told me about it and another spot with sheep herder names and pioneers names. Fun stuff to see and track names on the internet. If walls could talk. Thanks for watching.

So glad to see you in the shop again! I've watched a ton of your videos, you are an amazing smith and you really make figure work approachable. Take care of that arm, get well and be healthy. Thanks for the great informational videos.

What a beautiful place to fish. The thing to me about fishing is if I catch something or not, it is just peaceful and gives a person time to think. Bonus that you were able to spend time with your daughter. When my daughter was younger, I would take her fishing. We couldn't leave until she had caught something. She is married now with a young one but she and her husband fish quite often. I never would have thought about making "spoons" for fishing. Awesome video and thank you for sharing.

I love old tools too! But I was also wondering if you’d make a video about how you made those fish and lily pad and other sculptures around your anvil stand. I’d love to see that. I’m glad you’re on the mend. Sending you the best.

Long ago i saw one in use, Barbados West Indies. Shop owner, Mr. Springer, said it makes richer gas than what ya get from a cylinder. It was all he used, and those guys can fix things that we discard.

I have a peter wright, about 205 lbs. I use it all the time. I can see 2 hundredweight markings and the main stamp is gone, but the classic step is there and the shape is right on the mark.
