That is, understanding what is happening in the world in terms of uneven development, and the role of government, individuals, INGO and other institutions to better the standard of living. Being aware of the current challenges and finding your niche to bridge that gap is key. Hence, knowledge about international development can not be over-emphasized.

Development clearly is different from growth. Development leads to growth in a nation. International development is about the world, poverty and inequality. In LDCs, there are cases of rural-urban migration which causes congestion in the urban areas making the available amenities insufficient. International development is a way of reducing poverty, inequality and improving the standard of living and this includes us all. Being able to access the basic needs of life like healthcare systems, education and social amenities like good roads, safe drinking water etc without having to relocate or move from a particular place to another, that is what international development brings about as stated in the video👍.
