Im hoping that because you have 2 of the Ain't Fare TH that you'll open one to see the deco on the opposite side is different from the side showing. Here in the US, we're getting the Japan Historics 4 sets this past week. I ordered a case hoping to get a chase. It arrived sat afternoon & no chase for me. We've been receiving the Boulevards 101-105 mix for the past 3 weeks and IMO, every casting in this mix is 🔥 there is not a single one I do not love in this mix. I think some places started getting the 106-110 mix this past week. I like the entirety of the current anniversary cars, I think both sets are good. To be honest though, I hope they soon stop with the anniversary sets. I understand 50th and maybe 60th but, 51, 54? Great video, TY for sharing.

I've been searching VR BRE Datsun 510's and I wanted to know (particularly on ebay), how can you tell you're actually getting an original Vintage Racing BRE Datsun that's carded? I've seen ppl making custom reproductions of not just Red Line Club castings, but also the cards too. Thank you! Nice review of your collection!!

Usually people are pretty open when it’s a custom, it’ll most often be cheaper and clearly stated in the title and/or description. Best is to study the pictures closely and try and contact the seller to confirm. eBay offers buyer protection against counterfeit goods, so there’s that, I guess. For South African viewer, the Takealot link is in the description. For anywhere else, I can recommend the Diamond brand protectors, they have short card ones too. Not sure if Sterling makes short card protectors. Quick search on eBay should give you some options.

Yes, don’t worry too much about it. They’ve been known to come and go as they do updates and maintenance too. Just hang onto the original nft, you’ll be fine. Congrats!

No, just in the extra/bonus collections like the Fast and Furious sets, the Lambo and Acceleracers ones. But they are small, 15-20 nfts or so. With the regular series you just need to find or buy the Super Rare or NFTH nft and keep hold of it until redemption date. Then they send the tokens to be exchanged for physical cars. There are bonus physical cars if you do happen to complete whole series.

Just because new boulevards come out. New pop cultures come out and new premiums come out doesn't mean that every car is good. Sometimes there's 1 good and the rest suck and the reason why you can tell that is because all those cars that nobody wants are still on the shelf. The scalpers will always take the good cars that they're going to resell.

No, it doesn’t, but it does feel like they are actively trying to cater to a wider audience. Also, the stronger the sets as a whole, the less single cars will be targeted. Harder to scalp 4x cool cars than just 1x.

Gotta be honest, I've unfortunately not paid too much attention to the entertainment series and pop culture series in the past, I wish I had because there were some awesome castings and art work. My favorite casting used in pop culture is the VW T1 panel, that is one of my favorite HWs castings and I wish I had all of them. My favorite pop culture continuation line is the Beatles Hiway Hauler, the white album one I absolutely love. Another casting I really like is the dairy delivery and I missed out on the latest, the MTV space man. Will have to resort to resellers for that one, but I made sure to get a few of the Beavis and Butthead Pacer, such great memories from that one. Great video, TY.

Yeah, we didn’t really get the Pop Culture line here until recently, sometimes got the Entertainment sets. The T1 is awesome, especially in those automotive brands liveries. I actually passed on the MTV DD, which I probably shouldn’t have, considering this video 😆. But I’m looking forward to the next waves with optimism. Cars like the Mutt Cuts van and the different 007 Astons also deserve a shoutout 👌. Thanks for the great comment, appreciate it.

Man that's so sad to hear. Here in India people are only buying the Gran Turismo GTR's and no one is buying the MTV, beavis and dumb & dumber so shops have to sell them for 3.5$ to get rid of all this excess stock

So stoked that we finally got some good stuff in SA. Numbers wise, the lady at the TRU store I went to (Cape Gate) said they got 48-count box of cars in. From what I heard, it was 20 boxes for the whole of SA. So in total 960 cars in SA. Mattel definitely made over 100k of these cars. Another difference though, is we have the international card and the ones at the convention have US cards, so maybe ours are rarer LOL? BTW your content and quality is insane, keep at it!

You'll be lucky to get ANYTHING good on the pegs...heres a bunch of Scalpers working together....& then selling it online..or at their shops for crazy prices & even exporting it...since that started pickings has been slim here

The red 356 looks really nice. I stopped doing the mail ins a couple of years ago, too much work. If I like one enough I'll get it on eBay or maybe come across one at a swap meet. Great video, TY for sharing

Yeah, it also hard to get here. I used to wait for the Master Set release at the end of the year and then look for people selling the mail ins off. But the last few years I’ve only picked up the ones I really like. 2024 looks like a good year for them.

Heres the thing. Everyone complains and complains. Complain about too little made, now too much made, no stickers, still cant get stuff (though why would anyone worry about not have a now MASS produced "exclusive" item) So many threaten to leave but still stay. Apparently they like the abuse. I don't know.😂😂 Sorry but they are not unique anymore. Much better priced premiums from ither companies out there and PLENTY of retail premium Hot wheels out there. As for OVERDRIVE. so many suckers bought into it and except maybe for the pink car, everything has been easy to get. And ALL are pretty cheap aftermarket right now. $100 wasted imo. You just watch them change a bunch of stuff again next year. I buy very little RLC now. 9 or so in the last 2 years. Thrill is gone my friends. Time to move on.😂

@@VonSail then thats no one wants them as they really arent all that $$$ great. There is better and more affordable stuff out there. And from my perspective, i have no issue paying for redlines, and even rare redlines, but I am also one who wont pony up for these NFTs. We have alot of reseller shows in my area, about 4 in on month and these things just sit there in their boxes. If they dont resell right away... they are stuck with them.... and thats kinda what i am seeing. I thought it would be neat, but i am now glad i didnt go down the nft rabbit hole.

It's not worth it for you, to pay the inflated (or fair?) prices that others have attached to their items (values). Redlines are worth more to you than NFTs, but they may not carry that same worth for everyone. Always collect what you like, thanks for the feedback!

The latest RLC just drop this last Tuesdays was the 40th anniversary Optimus Prime at a price of $80 dollars it sold out in less 30~45 minutes. You need to do review on it.

I just started collecting HWs about 5 months ago, mostly mainlines as i enjoy the hunt and going to the three stores in my area. I have a few premiums and a few treasure hunts, but as far as 2024 mainlines, way too many repaints. I know repaints are common, but seeing the same cars i just purchased a few months ago isnt enticing. Matchbox are fun as they are always clean looking cars, but they do too many regular, boring looking cars...like cars that are too common in real life if that makes sense. But as far as the rlc or club stuff, i might do it one day, but searching thru the pegs are more fun to me.

The Lamely Group channel guy gets all the upcoming RLC release drops way in advance and he opens them up as well. He also gets all the mainline cases and premium releases from Hot Wheels to showcase. If you want to know what’s gonna be getting released this year just look up his spot here on KZbin. There is also a couple official Hot Wheels RLC KZbin channels hosted by Hot Wheels developers and designers. I can’t recall the exact names but there is a bunch of KZbin channels that have shown at least 10 of the upcoming RLC releases. I definitely feel for you and I know the pain of getting my order cancelled after receiving a completed order confirmation email. It happened to me last year and I’m still pissed off about it. The worst part is Mattel told me the car was oversold due to a glitch in their system then 2 months later that exact car shows up in stock in the Hot Wheels shop during one of the Thursday RLC secret sales they have been doing for the last decade.

didn't have much issues with the Advan, i think wait time was around 3-4 mins. not really concerned with OD. there should be less traffic as well on the day of the drops

Yeah, main issues seem to be with the ShopPay side. Quite a few people had problems with it during the nft token drop as well.

I have yet to have a payment process through OD successfully. I have had to buy the elite datson, green kawa bug and the orange mclaren myself. All came with emails saying my payment didnt work and then next day the item was canceled.

I don’t know how the payment for OD is set up, but if it also uses ShopPay by default, that is probably the likely cause. They have had numerous issues lately, including mine mentioned above. With the NFT token drop yesterday, they were actively discouraging people from using it and reverting to PayPal.
