How do you work if the dog never settles. We are 3 nights In with absolutely no pause in the crying and panting… I understand waiting for the settle but we are not getting one to reward. I am laying next to the kennel treating and have not slept.

I have a apbt that has destroyed several chain link kennels so my question is have you had any of your dogs destroy these kennels by chewing on the wire?

Help me sir. We agreed to house sit for a year to a woman that has TEN dogs. They earlier attacked a puppy but we had no choice but to try to introduce my dog to them and the mother of the pack attacked him. I don't know what to do.

Diagnosing this kind of thing one the internet is not a good Idea I would find a local trainer and have them help you in person. it is rare to be able to see and help over messaging or text. I hope you can get that behavior worked out.

@secondchancek9servicedogs320 thank you I completely understand. I hope we do also but I am afraid we won't be able too seeing as the mother dog keeps attacking a dog that came even before her so I don't see her accepting him into the pack. I did give them toys that my dogs scent was on so hopefully that helps in some way. Unfortunately, if we can't control it we will have to surrender them because I can't risk my dog's life.

I can't swing $1k for a cage. I have a $100 wire cage for this GS boy and he busted out in 20 minutes. He also chewed the wire right off of it. sheese... What do you think about using a muzzle? I think I can reinforce the cage with zip ties. He is fine with the cage, he just doesn't want me to leave him. Not anxiety, SPOILED ROTTEN!! He's my ride or die lol! thank you!

the one inside the kennel is called the condo from impact the outer kennel is from a company that went out of business a few years ago called L bar M

These impact crates are very nice. Good video also. On rainy days when not exercised, my dog gets rambunctious so the impact crate has been a life saver the times I need to crate him. At night he sleeps in it with the door open

Got my impact high anxiety crate a few days ago. My most intense dog heavy heavy chewer can’t get out so it’s definitely well worth the money.

So I'm thinking of setting up 2 kennels like this with caging and concrete pads. I was wondering if it would be OK for 2 dogs to be next to each other in different cages if they were going to be buddies. I have a chill male malnios and getting a 9 week old female pit bull

100% ok and if one becomes kennel proud (barking and such at the other) they make a separator you can put up. I am a huge fan of concrete for the ability to clean up. I saw one of our work dogs get very sick off a dirt kennel floor that was only temp while we built out the kennel. Concrete and a simple green wash once a week.

I went with concrete just for the longevity of the structure. I have used wood in the past as well with a solid product.

When you have when you're living in Colorado it snows and I have four dogs it's two Pomeranians and two chihuahuas and I wanted to ask if when you have them out there if it's possible to put like a heater to weatherize it and how would I go about doing that

I'm watching this video for kennel ideas primarily. How do you account for weather? Does it stay comfortable for them during the hottest and coldest weather spells? I love your design as we have those materials and it looks like it fits our budget. In our yard water does pool up near where we are looking to build the kennel so I'm factoring that in.

for weather we use a system from Impact Dog Crates. Here is a link to the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJrbZGOiftyjatE I had used the original roof but found it to be way to hot under the metal roofing. We didn't use the kennels in hot or cold weather. This new system is so cool in that it keeps the weather off the dogs. We also put in a fan system to keep the air moving on hot humid Tn days. Glad you like our design.

Right on. We are in TN too. This design is exactly what I am hoping will work for us. Are any of your kennel dogs also house dogs? We have an indoor dog and want to get him a mate to breed. I think that our home might get too tight with 2 house dogs but I know that we will want them to come in sometimes. The kennel sight that we are interested in is a few yards away from the house.

when we bring in the dogs we house them at night in Impact dog crates. We are at 8 dogs in the kennel right now and we try to keep it fair to all of them. One day we will get a property and be able to rescue all the babies
