Thanks we try hard to give them the best life we can. We have a dream of 100 acres to be able to create a retreat like no other for both Veterans and dogs. We will get there one day

Those are some lucky pups. Your kennel care is more thorough than some long term care facilities I’ve rolled through. “Don’t be a dick” was the first rule we taught our son. He’s 14 now, and it seems to have worked. 😁

This really made me feel good lol. Linda thinks I’m crazy when I pick up our packs poop. I know where they go and check it out everyday. When we get fosters off the racetrack I really have to check, worms and all. Cow pies make me want to puke too!!!

I'm watching this video for kennel ideas primarily. How do you account for weather? Does it stay comfortable for them during the hottest and coldest weather spells? I love your design as we have those materials and it looks like it fits our budget. In our yard water does pool up near where we are looking to build the kennel so I'm factoring that in.

for weather we use a system from Impact Dog Crates. Here is a link to the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJrbZGOiftyjatE I had used the original roof but found it to be way to hot under the metal roofing. We didn't use the kennels in hot or cold weather. This new system is so cool in that it keeps the weather off the dogs. We also put in a fan system to keep the air moving on hot humid Tn days. Glad you like our design.

I knew exactly what you were going to say in the first 15 seconds about the dog crap lol. Good luck cleaning up during/after the snow falls. I saw a show on national geographic last night that made me think of you. It's called "called to the wild". If you want to spend 10 days in Maine by "yourself" and a dog, you should try and get on the show. It could be great exposure for you and your rescue. Give it a look!
