they stuff is still the best sounding on digital realm but they should have transformed in a daw like ableton ages ago and the new machine stand alone should have the 2 screens unified in a big one with touch capabilities (quality touch like 1010music blackbox not mpc) and a lot of I/O especially audio and CV/Gate (both volt/hz and volt/octave and gate that can output 12volt at least)… this is the MACHINE for music producers of 2025 #NativeInstruments

Yeah maschine is being left behind by ableton play and akai mpcs. NI appears to be entirely focussed on selling sound packs and Kontact libraries. Sad really, but thats what getting the big money in from investors always seems to do to these formerly creative companies..

As a guitar player and general musician, I find this thing to be amazing. I do a lot of looping and live playing this fits right in. It’s midi sync to my drum machine and looper. I use it for background pads and actual parts. I’m sure a lot of devices can do this type of thing but this does it very easy and sounds great. It’s more for a player rather than a Tweaker and we all know Tweakers suck.

My problem is that I don’t need or want stem separation. The whole point of Maschine for me is to build up sounds/groups/scenes. That’s enough for me to do without dissecting others. Maybe I’m in a minority. On it’s own it isn’t very expensive, especially bundled with Central, but Komplete Collectors 15 wants a sizeable amount of my cash, Cubase now has an update, Zwift has gone up from £129 to £179, I need more Adobe cloud storage etc. You see where I’m going with this.

Love this synth. I found it kind of overwhelming at first even as someone who owns a hardware analog synth, but what I did was favorited a bunch of the presets that I liked, and then I tried my best to recreate them on my own starting from the init. Not so much that I was trying to copy them exactly, more just I found it was a helpful way to learn my way around the synth. Still, I come back to vids like this from time to time

I was that 80s kid with the Poly 800 bc a neighborhood friend had one. We midi’d them together and it was truly a magical moment! II always appreciated Korg making an entry level synth at that time.

Hi Max, off topic but I just watched Recombination in Omniversum in The Hague. Your production stood out the most and was my favourite, never heard of you before so decided to look you up and here you are. I will have a listen and an look to all you have to offer. Is your video from Recombination somewhere available for me to watch again? Keep it up!

I'm confused... so it's like an albumn of prerecorded tracks that are being processed through a synthesizer that the buyer controls?

Damn, I miss my SP1.2k. Prices have doubled since I sold it tho, so the likelihood of acquiring another are slim. Apart from the low resolution in pitching, it's a perfect machine.

You guys are great! I'm glad this band exists in today's musical context. The work of Public Service Broadcasting is very relevant and touches the hearts and "brains" of many people. I've listened to the song Go! hundreds of times, the mixture of music and history transcends and innovates the merely musical dimension.

Of all of the synths going for this kind of money these days, this is one of the very few that feels like it's actually worth the money. I know when they put it out they were concerned about pricing it so high, but in this case you're really paying for the instrument and not the brand name.

I have two of the motorsynth mk2. One for the left channel and one for the mono channel. They sound like a lung-sick hamster smoking its last cigarette in the middle of the toilet and hoping for somebody who's hugging him. Nevermind, I would recommend using this synths in the right mono channel with phase invert, so you can hear it on the left channel two.

Sounds shit. The ride is shit. Cmon. Slate is best cymbs. Superior Drummer 3 is best Snares. Simple. There's a Roland vst that has no demo and looks OK also but yeah no demo, no go

20m of mostly word salad, but no word about the VST version. Has it improved, will it be easier to get your stuff into a full fledged DAW? Big up to NI for supporting M Studio and S MkII. But they really need to make the piano roll better with snap and other chord features.

NI is dead, its not just Machine that gets no updates (Reaktor 6) or is broken but they still sell it on the site. (Battery 4 with recent Mac os) I have never seen a company fall like NI which would not be so bad if they just communicated with their customers who invested in them decades ago. The whole thing is mind blowing and I wonder if they were sabotaged internally by an engineer or something. They whole thing smells like they lost the people who could actually understand the low level components of their platform and now are just in crisis mode. Reaktor and Battery are done and the Machine update is similar to all the recent Kontakt updates which is now what they say is the main focus yet it still has crazy bugs with nothing substantial being upgraded.
