A PoE NVR needs 54V since it can power the cameras that are connected to its ports. DVR is different since it does not need to power the cameras. In the video I show a NVR (Network Video Recorder). It’s NOT a DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Got it?

No, any model should work since ONVIF is universal. I worked for Samsung/Wisenet as an engineer for years and I never saw a camera that could not work with ONVIF. Just make sure you update the firmware to the latest version on both devices and also set the date/time correctly. I’ve seen some troubles with ONVIF because the date/time was not correct. Let me know if it works

@@bestsecuritydevices the camera is factory default settings. I just set up password as it was required after the reset. On Wisinet viewer app, trying to add camera, I'm getting not supported device error..

@@bestsecuritydevices Finally, I was able to add it but only connecting directly to the NVR and pre-setting the IP address. Im still not able to add it with having it connected to my PoE switch..

It’s probably related to port forwarding rules you had in the router and now it’s gone. Just check that and recreate the rules (if that’s the case).

Just connect the camera directly to the NVR e it should automatically give it an IP and allow you to add it to the system

To add cameras from different brands, please use the ONVIF protocol. There’s a video in the channel about such topic

The camera must be working already on your network. You need to have it working on your computer or mobile phone. This is not a tutorial on how to setup your camera... that part should be done already, since every camera has a different setup it would not be practical show a specific camera setup since people will have different ones. Got it???

Yes, you can add remote devices it’s just a question of adding rules in the router (port forward). I have a video about the technique here in the channel.

Did you set the recording option for the cameras? You need to tell the NVR to record the new cameras, either continuously or by motion

@@bestsecuritydevices Yes those two cameras we have checked and it's set as all day Blue color which is continuous. We have decreased those 2 camera resolutions as well wondering might be because the NVR supports this much or that much decoding capability..but that way also failed. Those two new cameras recording not starting.
