Hey Deacon, yes we are. Without trying to sound evasive, it's hard to pinpoint an exact time because things break every day. Right now (as we speak) we are trying to get it running properly without the waves first. We have another weeks work on this and then after that we will re-introduce the waves - and this is where / when we'll get a clearer picture on how long it's going to take. Rest assured we are doing our best - we would love to have it all done right now! Feel free to keep checking in.

Hey Byron, yes it does, but with the specs on your laptop it might still be a bit too intensive for your machine.

We'd like to. We started out on those machines, but we had some issues with them. We're taking another look at both PS4 and the Xbox one now - see if we can get the game to run on those consoles. We'll give it our best shot.

Hey, thanks for the question. BL Pro Surfing's audio is stereo and is standard HD (1920 x. 1080). Perhaps as some point if we're able, we can look at the higher end but as an indie studio, there's only so much we can do at this stage. Cheers

@@BartonLynchProSurfing Cheers for the reply, i ended up just buying it and im really enjoying it well i was until i saw the new graphics update was available. New graphics are a lot better like but theres a few lines of green pixels at the top of the screen (series x) i tried the usual stuff uninstall/install, clear data (dont use the clear data from everywhere option or the game will bootloop). So yeah now i cant get past the 1st loading screen any ideas?. Also what happened to the brightness slider i dont see it after the update

@jaymenace1988 - thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Yes, that fine line at the top of the screen is a Unity based nuisance and we're trying to eliminate it. It seems to come and go so we'll need to update the project again and add a fix to the next patch. We had to remove the brightness slider from this update as it was causing a conflict with the graphics, but hopefully brightness levels can be adjusted locally. With the loop: Just trying to follow exactly what is happening there. Are you removing all of the save data, & then going back in with a new character and it's looping? Is that what you mean? We'll try and figure out what's going on there.

@@BartonLynchProSurfing on xbox theres 2 options for wiping save data theres delete from console and delete from everywhere. After using delete from everywhere and then launching the game it says network reconnected and then disconnected and then once i press A to continue it just stays at that screen with the loading animation in the bottom corner.

I cant get back into the game to get to character selection, i reproduced this multiple times though so if you cant reproduce it on your side let me know and il make a video or write out some deatiled steps.

Yes, we're not far away. We've got a major piece of the puzzle sorted out and we're checking over builds now. So hopefully in the next couple of days. There will be more patches and content updates again after this.

Thanks for the question. Press down (click in) on your right analogue stick. That will automatically flip your camera to 1st person. Press it in again to flip it back to 3rd person view. You've got flexibility. So for example you can surf in 3rd person if you want, and then when you pull into the barrel you can flip it to 1st person view if that suits.

The main menus have not changed. But do you mean the same as the previous lighting, water, waves, sky & weather etc?

Thanks for the feedback. That video is a shot of an offshore / no wind setting in the weather tool, so yes there's not much ripple on the surface for these conditions. As you know, we do have a range of weather conditions. But yes, we are currently in the process of re-engineering the ocean system and game graphics.

Hey thanks for the question, appreciated. Yes this is exactly what we’re working on. They do say “you’ve got to break an egg to make an omelette” and that’s exactly what has happened to our code. Re-engineering the graphics means that we’ve essentially broken everything, so now we’re trying to put it all back together. We are getting there, & we’re just trying to settle things down.

You are spot on, totally agree. We're working on trying to add that if we can. It's a bit like an accounting exercise trying to juggle how much we can render on screen at once - but we're giving it a go.

Hey thanks for the question. Not sure about Gamepass to be honest. We're not sure about what we'd need to do to get on to their program - but we can ask. We're focused on updating our graphics and working on adding features at the moment, as the sole goal is to do our very best to provide the best experience we can.

It's a ghosted leaderboard. So it's asynchronous multiplayer, not real time. So you can play against another players ghost and compete that way. We did initially look at realtime multiplayer but we had some difficulty with the development early on, so this is the best we can manage for now. We're currently a team of five but we really want to try and do it. It's a massive challenge to sync realtime waves over the internet, but we're going to have a crack at it at some point.

Ah...no there isn't. We have a few too many of them in water here in West Oz, so this is a safe space :)

Thanks for the question. Just hold in R2 when you are clear of the lip, and you'll be fine to flick off. Anywhere near the barrel or the pocket is usually trouble, so you don't want to risk it there. For me, I usually pump for a bit to get clear of the lip (to get a bit of space) and then press R2 to pull out. Give yourself some room away from the lip and try and look down the line to see what the wave is actually doing as you would IRL. Anytime you see that it's starting to barrel near the lip, it's too late. And, it pays to practice in Free Surf. Once you get a feel for how the waves are breaking it just clicks in your mind. Just don't get caught anywhere near either the foam and also watch out for the end sections, or you'll get hammered. I think we're going to have to add this part to a walkthrough video we're working on.
