Saw them at U of Kent in maybe 85. One of best bands of the 80's.

Aussi brillant que la version de Rita , le rythme , l’orchestration , tout y est !!!! L’interprétation est plus profonde peut-être

Well there's no more sleepless nights for me Now it's easier from now on Cos I've realised exactly where I've been going wrong Well I've been lying awake at night Worrying about the Russians But the Russians are my friends Cos we've got a love that will never end Cos now I've learned to love the bomb Now I've learned to love the bomb Well once we had a plan to go to Greenham Common And steal a Polaris missile And we'd put it on the back of a lorry Now I keep it in my bedroom And it's yellow black and grey And I'll polish it every day And I don't care what the neighbours say Cos now I've learned to love the bomb Now I've learned to love the bomb Don't you be so stupid No no no You should like the bomb like you love your mum And if you want to live in a peaceful world There's only one thing to do You've gotta choose Cruise Cos now I've learned to love the bomb Now I've learned to love the bomb Don't you be so stupid No no no What the hell do you take me for? If you going to make bombs you're longing for war Don't you be so stupid Now I've learned to love the bomb The days I've spent on CND campaigns Just walking, just walking in the pouring rain Time and time again How I learned to love the bomb

A good version, but Rita and the Tiaras captures and expresses a higher level of intensity and rawness, which are the essence of Northern Soul IMHO.

It's Patrick and Lloyd 'Return Of The Pollock' which came out on the Big Shot label in 1970.
i love the neither w or m album, listened to these lads for 40yrs but lame live.

I always thought it was the other way around. Live, they were a good band, and their early records were pretty good. But the Neither Washington nor Moscow L.P was really weak and a let down.

When I discovered their album completely by accident, I was completely surprised. especially after the band's name. it was the nineties, full of skinhead fascists, and here was such a surprise. They recorded an album with a unique sound, in a unique band. and they turned out to be left-wing, which also surprised me. To this day they are one of my favorite bands. They gave their all and had a message for the listeners. and it is still very good today. It's a pity there's only one album. maybe one, but unique

Steve White is a picture of dedication and consummate skill in drumming. It's astonishing that his virtuosity is achieved at such a young age. No wonder he's been invited/commissioned to lecture at several top tertiary institutions.
