Video is a great idea but kinda useless to the foreign visitor because you use so many Japanese words. I need to know what each dish is to determine if i want it
I plan to go to Kyoto for 4days after Tokyo on Dec27th. Is it true there is a Shinkansen package to Kyoto that is inclusive of hotel stay? Is it only for Japanese or can tourist buy this package?

Took the train to Umeda station and bought a blue heart lock with mine and my husband's names engraved on it at the Umeda sky building. Such a beautiful place. ❤

Absolutely love Japan. Even met and made a couple of Japanese friends. We still keep in contact.

Yessss, I was in Fussa Japan from June to August 2023. My husband was there from March to October 2023 on duty at yokota afb. I rode the Shinkansen to Osaka. We miss Japan so much. Going back in 2025. Contemplating getting a home there. So peaceful !❤

Konnichiwa! I will be travelling from osaka to kyoto by train, more specifically from Namba Station to Kyoto Station. I will bring big luggage and google maps refers me to get to Namba Station > Midosuji Line > Umeda/Osaka Station > Tokaido-Sanyo Line (Rapid/Special Rapid) > Kyoto Station. I would like to ask if this rapid/special rapid train in tokaido-sanyo line is considered as shinkansen? Must i reserve seat for my luggage if i take this train?
@fromjapan4789Күн бұрын
Thank you for the comment. And Tokaido Sanyo line Rapid special Rapid is not Shinkansen. Actually you don’t need to take Shinkansen between Osaka and Kyoto because Shinkansen and super rapid train is not different about required time. So following Google map is better I think. And you don’t need reservation to take Tokaido Sanyo Line.

Thank you for the information! Can I ask you for an advice. Should I buy bus thickets in advance for travelling between Matsumoto-Takayama-Kanazawa, during Obon. It will be very crowd like the Tokaido line? Thank you 🙏

This is an excellent video - love the conclusions for each of the sections. This is easily one of the best videos I’ve seen with travel updates in Japan and super helpful for my trip planning. Good work!

Konichiwa, Kyoto Local-san, I was thinking to myself, "If I had oversized luggage, then could I pay for an extra seat in which to place that luggage?" Then you, Kyoto Local-san, provided the answer of "Yes." Now, I'm in a good Kyoto mood. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤝🇯🇵🚅🧳

8.When you visit Osaka, join a meetup event. This is a rare opportunity to meet locals who love speaking English and meeting foreigners.

Love your video! We are visiting Kyoto this September. Looking forward to try these suggestions! By the way, can you please recommend a nice restaurant to have a birthday/special dinner for a big group of people (11 adults and 2 kids)? Thank you! ❤

Thank you for the comment. My recommendation is Cicon Rooftop Bar by Nohga Hotel. It’s a little difficult to make reservations and accept for big group, but the mood and food are good! www.mothersgroup.jp/shop/cicon_rooftopbar.html

I'm planning for a trip to Kyoto later this summer and your channel is so helpful, thank you!!! I'll be traveling with 3 kids (6-11 years old) and have been having difficulty finding kid friendly activities and restaurants. If you are looking for ideas for future videos I'd love to see what locals do with their kids so that we can engage with the locals. Your topics to avoid crowds have been very helpful since crowds and lines do not mix well with kids.
@fromjapan478911 күн бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I also have 1 year old boy and agree that crowds are not good for parents and kids… And my recommendation for kids is Toei Kyoto studio park. It’s not crowded, kid friendly, and can experience ninja! global.toei-eigamura.com/
