The skill needed to master it to the point where even playing the game is pointless because whoever goes first wins really isn't that hard to get. But when you are new or playing wild, it can get pretty cool. There are a lot of table shape varieties too

Player on the left, your 3rd and 4th shots are fouls for 'push ball'. Your follow through with the cue is very deliberate and the cue tip remained in contact with the cue ball longer than the appropriate time. Sorry.

It does have an upper skill limit where if you go first and can continuously sink shots, you automatically win and the game becomes pointless. People would have to intentionally play wild and mess with the other player, otherwise the game is over after deciding who goes first

@@nasvsan6191 My parents had an octagonal table, an even more difficult table to play on, when I was in high school and my brother and we got so good that we came to that conclusion.

Ya, I was wondering why they were moving balls.
@I_leave_mean_comments Жыл бұрын
Incorrect. If both players sink their first shot ... then they each select another ball, place it in front of their opponent's pocket and repeat the simultaneous shot. In this game, that happened 5 times in a row.

Since when were you allowed to touch and move the balls to the center? I have a table and never played that way. If you sink the marked ball then you start with the far left side ball and go down the line if you continue to sink them. So that’s not a perfect game.

@@robbspeck5135 I grew up on a bumper tool table as well and you're correct. The shots are to get harder as you leave them where they are rather than basing your next shot by muscle memory. No pool game allows you to pick up the ball unless you scratch. Also, I'm disappointed this table is rectangle and not an octagon which allows for hard angle from across the table.

We played a ton and only ever did this twice. I think theres a suprising amount of interesting strategy which is much more accessible than pool or snooker, for instance, there is a lot more defense. I think you can master it with a few hundred hours or play, as opposed to thousands for pool or snooker.

@@dariuswilson2075 You're wrong. There is nothing online about anything to do with restoring a bumper pool table. There are some parts being sold, but that's about it--and nothing with those products telling you anything about installation. Rail rubber--forget it. And professionals consider it a toy and want nothing to do with it, so they won't answer your questions. You basically have to take the table apart and figure it out on the fly.
