Thank you for reading to your children and limiting screen time. We did this as well and our sons did so well in school and then college! I give God the glory about this because He led us to do this too! As a former teacher I noticed the decreasing attention span of kiddos. A veteran teacher friend of mine explained that she has seen this for many years and attributes it to phone,video, television overload. ❤

When I was growing up, my mom used to buy a cranberry relish and we loved it. At Thanksgiving, I tried to find it, but couldn’t find any. I haven’t seen it in years!! Can you please share the recipe?! I would love to make this for Christmas.

I just used 1 bag of cranberries, 2 mandarine oranges- peeled probably 1/4 cup maple syrup or less and a handful of walnuts. You can adjust everything as needed for sweetness and nutiness.

Everything looks delicious! My son was like your children, he enjoyed the healthy foods I made. I think when they are fed healthy from scratch food from the start, their tastes are not spoiled by processed foods. We never had options ( like frozen fake food 😉). He followed our example. I might try that white chocolate chip cookie recipe this year. Thank you for sharing such wonderful recipes and inspiration.

I like to add some fresh apples to our cranberry relish too! Bulks it up a little bit and also adds some sweetness.

You have a adorable home. my home is 1128 square foot. It is a good size for my husband and I . Are kids are grown and on their home. I find that sometimes to big of a house is not all used and where I live there are not a lot of homes with basements. So I find to declutter often it sure helps. I like to thrift too but I find when I bring things in I take things out. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with Jesus peace and presence. My husband and I lived in SD outside Rapid City . We had our first child there I remember the cold winters.

Your method of decorating little by little as you go is what I like to do if I can. I finally have my little tree and putz village up! Yes, I am a little behind 😁 But enjoying each moment is what is important. Love the traditional Christmas hymns and carols! 🎄🎹🎀🎹🎄 Candles and twinkle lights in the dark, too. We have an Advent service on Wednesday evenings at our church. Last night we sang a song I never heard before and it is beautiful. It is such a beautiful message of God’s grace and the hope in Jesus.
