I have replaced these gourds with a much better gourds that the Martin Birds like better. I replaced them with the Troyer brand gourds that have crescent entrances that keep the Starlings out.

I have recently fixed the problem with the meter hesitation. Yes the AGC is on fast, but it did hesitate worse then the way it should be. Yaesu sent me a fix and it did fix the problem I had to delete the firmware update when I put the fix in, and "then" do the update and it did fix the problem. Yaesu told me they did have several people complain about the firmware update on the FTdx1200 having this problem. Yaesu called it a patch fix.

Someone wrote me to ask what do they clean the grave stones with...The best thing I have used and highly recommended by professionals is D/2 Biological Solution.

By chance were any of the rf coax leads internally removed and possibly placed in wrong order. Has anything been disconnected and reinstalled under the covers. Even re routing the coax rf leads inside differently may stop any oscillations. Tell us more about the past with this rig. Would the techs have put something back wrong. Surely they could have duplicated that issue. Its a no brainer to duplicate , unless its your antennas! Water in coax , bad joints at connectors (so239). More info my friend.

I posted your video on facebook ts 2000 and a guy just commented this: I testet this right now. HF on a FD-4 100 watts and UHF on a Diamind X200 portable jnust on a cable. When the X200 is portable around in distance closer than 6 meters, I have the same thing un UHF. Puting the X200 more far away, then everything works fine!

FYI:Having a good SWR doesn't mean it is resonant. The important symptom is that the condition of the radio changed in 2016. This should indicate something inside the radio changed or you did something. I have to think about lightning as a possibility. I am not putting much concern into your antenna since antennas at other shacks acted similarly. Sometimes people overlook changes they made. Did you add a TNC or other device. Adding a TNC to the TS-850 caused the TX audio to go bad. Unplug the TNC and the audio was good. That you can duplicate the problem but "technicians" can't is also important. What is different? Is the tech testing only on a dummy load? One thing we don't have information on that is outside the radio is if you are using a duplexer. If you are, I assume you would take that with you other ham shacks, but maybe the techs test without it. MFJ equipment is notorious for bad solder connections those will fail over time. One MFJ device I had became intermittent especially if I wiggled the antenna connection. There was NO solder on the antenna connection. Over time it corroded. I soldered it properly and the problem went away. If the problem is in the radio, the radio is old and you should check for bad electrolyte capacitors. The top of the capacitors should be perfectly flat and clean. If the electrolyte leaks you may see what looks like a light tan color water spots/rings on top of the capacitor or on the board. This electrolyte is corrosive to the runs on the board. If you find any clean it off and of course replace the caps. I have seen capacitor kits online where someone has gone through the trouble of kitting all the capacitors for you. Another thing would be to look at filters. The internet has a bit of information of failing filters in the TS2000. Filters are meant to prevent these issues. Another, I would look at the purity of the RF being transmitted. If the RF is dirty, it will cause havoc. I also would consider a full factory reset. A glitch or or even an operator changing something in the menus.

Check insidefor small sponges with some kind of metalic coating over, near the coax plugs inside the station, those needs to be in place if one of those are out of the position that issue you have can apear, even auto oxcilations also

Put the main side on a dummy load when it does it, I suspect RF getting into the sub receiver from the main antenna. Try a different frequency or band on the main VFO to see if it does it on any band other than 40 meters. How close is your 40m antenna to your 2 meter antenna? Is your SWR ok on the 40 meter antenna without the tuner? Just a few things to check.
