If someone can explain... what is the real difference between loop mode (on the regular X4) and dashcam mode (on the Motorrad edition) . They both power up the camera when power is applied (good). The X4 starts recording over at a user specified time interval (e.g. 30min), the motorrad starts recording over after a user specified amount of memory space is reached. Does that mean the Motorrad can record longer segments? Does it mean that one can record separate clips at the same time as doing the dashcam recordings ? Meaning its recording at 2 separate segments of the memory at the same time ? What about the new Motorrad Dashcam feature makes it more useful, feature rich or user friendly than the standard X4 loop recording mode ?

Lets say your X4 is set for 30 min loopback (or 50% memory on Motorrad dashcam mode which is >30 min recording)... you go out for a 10 min ride and start a loopback or dashcam recording. Then you end the ride and power down the camera, then start a new 15 min ride sometime later. Does the camera just re-record over the first10 min ride as it starts it's 15 min recording ? Do both recordings stay in memory ? Does it just tack on to the end of the 1st 10 min recording? Are these questions answered differently for the X4 regular and X4 Motorrad edition ? There is a lot about how dashcam mode works that I'd like to know before pulling the trigger on the X4 regular or X4 Motorrad edition. Thanks for any feedback on my questions.

@@leewinick I got the updated firmware on my "regular" X4. From my tests using the dashcam mode, the "loop space" is the max duration of recordings combined. For example I use loop space of 30min loop duration (takes 15.7GB at 4k/24fps) When you take a 10min ride, it saves one file that is 10mins long. When you take a 15min ride, you get a 15min video. At this point you have only used up 25mins so far. If I go for another ride, let's say 12mins long, you will get a 12min new file BUT the oldest file will now become just 3mins long (from originally 10mins) At the end of the 3 rides you'll have: a 3min video (oldest), a 15min video, and a new 12min video. Total duration is what you set as the loop space.
