2017 Suzuki SV650A First Ride

In an effort to bring back the original magic of the SV650, Suzuki has brought back the SV for 2017. Designated the SV650A, the new bike brings back the more minimal styling of the original SV model as well as a host of new features and improvements.

It seems like a no brainer for Suzuki to build a SV650R, with GSXR forks and radial brakes with an adjustable rear shock. Make it happen Suzuki!

Probably not as it is not a competitor to the 600cc Inline4 and is more a budget alternative for commuting so I dont see it happening anytime soon.

Ducati Monster 797 has the suspension and brake upgrades stock, with similar L twin power/torque, a very similar but more high-end look, and less weight for about $1800 more. Plus you get all the chicks.

My gf's Fiat 500 has this Low RPM assist as well. I use it to drive in low speed situations like parking, traffic jams where you're going 5mph etc...

I wonder if its possible to swap the new SV parts over to a Gladius... it would probably be more expensive in the long run but the Gladius bikes are still sitting on showroom floors around here with huge discounts.

fz is not for beginners, its a wheelie happy machine with no abs. Similar power, one is more stable with abs, other is not

Fz does not have ABS in America. Now the MT-07 does have ABS. FZ does not.

I don't get why we have rider aids that make us worse riders? Like the no stall clutch system? I got good at not stalking when I learned to ride by learning how a clutch worked! This is like bloody cars that parallel park themselves!! C'mon people, let's just learn how to drive/ride!!!!

Over here SV's are cheaper and more powerful. Better display and arguably better sound. Design is subjective though.

no its the same as always, higher than sv650(New one) and more torque too, cheaper MSRP and from what i hear, more fun as well
