I have a 2013 fx4 f150 cluster, everything works when you first plug it in, after a minute the screen fades out

My 86 dash doesn’t light up, I want to remove and make a bench test, which wires must be connected on 12V on both plugs? Thanks!

Quick question, my 07 150 has had the brake light on, checked the emergency brake, the sensor in the master then took the instrument cluster apart. i did this about a year ago and never saw anything that looked broken . I just found your channel and your videos are great, I'm about to go back in, my key question is, what would make the brake light stay on constantly ? PS, after the first time i took the cluster out ,i had power issues with it, so thats where i found your videos

What wires do i need to ground and power to power up this cluster? I can't find anything definitive on it.

Left a question on a previous Ford F150 display video, having issues with the Fuel Guage on a 2007 , cold start will read full , after a couple of minutes of driving a chime goes off, Guage goes to empty and a low Fuel light comes on. I can turn the truck off and let it sit 5-10 minutes, restart and it will normally function correctly. Is it in the cluster or fuel pump ???

I have a 2007 F150 XLT , Fuel Guage is my issue. Tank will be full then on a cold start it will read normal then go to empty with the low Fuel light on. Happens more in the Summer, but I can turn the truck off wait 5-10 minutes and restart and it will be fine . What could be my issue????

I have a 1996 Silverado K2500 that I cant get my computer to even read that the ABS system is there, so next step is to open up this part up and see what's going on. Thanks for the info.

Ok i swapped a different cluster in my truck but mine had 300k on it the one I have in the truck has 95 thousand how do i go about fixing it to the correct mileage

FYI - If there is anyone left like me (Dec 2024).... By far the easiest way to get it working temporarily. The driver door open light shows in the dash when working correctly. When the dash goes out that driver door open light also is out. Power the car off (might have to hold the power off button in for a bit). Open the driver door. The door open light will not be showing. Leave the car powered off and start using as much electrical as possible (turn headlights off/on, turn emergency flashers on, turn interior lights on, push brake pedal) (that's all I have ever had to do). Eventually the door open light will come on and it is working again. It is a capacitor problem and I think this discharges the capacitor(s) and resets the problem (temporarily). I learned this from someone on YT but I don't know who so I can't give credit but I thank him every time it occurs. I bought new capacitors but would rather not have to go through this repair. I'll see how it goes. My 2007 Prius is awesome!

I'm going to be calling ya tomorrow from Houston on a 2010 Challenger ABS module to see if you will take it in for repair but ONE OF THESE DAYS I'm going to remember to try putting one of my Black RTV tubes in a container after I open it and fill that container (ziplock) with CO2 from my soda stream to see if that stops the air from curing it LOL. Amazing job sir!

All the gauges just quit in my 05 2500. The lights and warnings work but Nono of the arms tell me anything. I can’t figure it out

I have a check gages light on my 06dodge ram 3500 5.9L. That just started the other day. The tach seems to be off from time to time, it will show red line when I know is below 3k rpm. My shift points are typically 2500-3000rpm. This issue has gone on for quite some time. I’d be interested in doing this fix but I don’t know the process of removing the unit from the dash.

i personally like to drag solder these type of packages with a hoof tip. the smd stuff is tricky but i find that almost anything can be done with that tip

i think this cluster is the same on the 02. having a hell of a time with parasitic load and i'm hoping some repair like this will sort it out. found some out of spec resistors that are encouraging

Hallo there My Nissan sunny 2011 cluster lights and gauges flickering,what can be the problem?

Great video,I have a 05 f150 that’s having an cluster/radio issue. First a little background, 5weeks ago I charge the battery but it was charging briefly on 30amp charge. Well I saw smoke coming from the radio and shut it down. Hence fried radio, now the problem I’m having is twofold 1- new radio plays with just 3speakers (drivers front is out) and when I adjust the cluster panel brightness the radio brightness flickers. Did I screw the pooch on this or is it fixable. Thanks in advance

How the heck would you know that the IC solders just up and go bad i mean it's not like has to deal with thermal expansion all the time from engine heat or anything

I'm 77 and still learning from KZbin. Your video on the repair was clearer than some of the others I saw. Also, some channels said the problem was G110 on the frame rail behind the left front tire. On my 2000 YukonXL, there is no such ground to be cleaned. So now I have to do what you are teaching me.

I appreciate another video! How often do you find missing resistors? (I was missing one. Found the size by watching your prior video) How frequently do these need to be resoldered? My resolder job lasted 1 year. Seems like when I park into the sun and start the truck in 110° heat (outside temp), it starts having issues.
