Hi, I just want to thank you for this video. My dad is a top-of-the-line car mechanic, but he has not much experience with electronics. Me on other hand, I have some level of experience in electronics due to my Computer Science graduation, but little to no knowledge in specifics of car electronics, such as ECU. My dad's car has flooded in the recent floods that happened in south of Brazil. Despite being a bit more sophisticated than an 1991 Mitsubishi ECU, this video will help me have some guidelines to diagnose my dad's 2016 VW Gol ECU and other sophisticated electronics in the car that stopped working due to the flooding. Thank you.

Mitsubishi have been cheaping out on caps for as long as I can remember. Working as an auto electrician 20+ years ago we repaired or replaced more Mitsubishi ECUs than everything else put together, 90% due to bad caps.

I've got the original ECU for my 2006 Dodge Magnum that kicked the bucket, and I'm wondering if it's repairable since there's really no replacement options besides refurb
