Great work, but have you tried CLR without the sander? I have used CLR on many jobs and it cleans great just by soaking. Nice work though.

If you're going to make a joke out of something dangerous you should state that. Did you ever stop to think that a kid may electrocute themselves trying the stupid thing you show here? That would be entirely on you.

Wait a minute…. my ignition system needs a cooling fan as I can’t find one on my bike…. Where can I buy one? Is there some sort of after market kit?

Good video and idea, only thing I wish you could have had two similar parts in two separate containers, used CLR on both, but only agitated only. Just so we could compare how much of a difference the sander truly made.

Be interesting to see what effect on part would have just leaving it in a jar of cleaner,for an hour or so, without agitation.

A lot more vibration cleaner than ultrasonic cleaner.

Dangit I don't have left handed vice grips and they are out of stock everywhere
@rogerhart562320 күн бұрын
Hold up now suspending the sander from a rope causes the entire assembly to vibrate. This Makes it far less efficient. Mounting the sander to something solid would be more effective. Oh And calling it a homemade vibrating parts cleaner. Would be a far better description than anything you're calling it with the word ultrasonic included.....
@rogerhart562320 күн бұрын
Hey as long as it does what you think it does I guess that's all that really matters huh.....
@pter753120 күн бұрын
FYI: ultrasound has frequencies > 20 000 Hz. Your tool swings with a frequency between 500 and max 3000 Hz.which is way below ultrasound. Very good idea though!

A man makes a plan!! Only one concern from me to consider. Is your sander rated for D.I.Y or industrial use? Remember that little motor spins at a hellevu rate of knots.
@vancemacd631520 күн бұрын
Very cool idea. Only thing I could add would be hot water or at least warm to loosen greese easier.

@sonicdewd23 күн бұрын
That will drastically shorten the life of the sander. The sander was built and tested using a hand on top of the case and the business end on the work. If you don't want to destroy the sander, perhaps tie or attach some kind of ballast on it that weighs in at about two or three pounds and keep the rig suspended as is done here. That sander _must_ be able to move some.
