That’s not a giant, but it is a nice fish. Always fun the get a hefty bass on the line, especially on 8-10lb mono. When you have something big enough that you have to work the drag, it’s a good day

Hey Adam thank you so much for sharing your tournament day what an awesome new adventure for you! My question for you is did you like that type of format your pros and cons will you do more! Drew Gregory runs the kayak adventure series and I believe all his tournaments run like this I’m actually been really motivated to get into these type myself as well! Congratulations for completing the event and placing where you did I hope it motivated to try it again sounds like you really enjoyed it! Tight lines take care and God bless!

@granvillej3316 thank you! Yeah I love this style of fishing. You have to add both skill and physical strength in this type of event. You should def do it. Greg beat me last year at this same event but again, this is a fun way to fish.

video suggestion: do a 'how to start" video or series. I grew up with live bait only and so learning to fish with artificial baits has been overwhelming. thanks and I enjoy the vids.
@str8yakdАй бұрын
That's a great idea! Thanks. I will have to def do that soon. I never thought about how tough it would be to grasp artificials if you aren't used to it but you're right. That would be tough. I'll see what I can do. Thanks again.

Good video dude! The rivers downtown are definitely interesting to fish. A LOT of tiny smallies, but there are definitely some good ones in the mix too! My first trip on the Monongahela was the only trip I've had that had over a 12" fish though 😂. I want to try fishing some of the quieter pools in the Allegheny north of the city one of these days. Good luck out there!
@str8yakd2 ай бұрын
@HawkFishingandOutdoors heck ya man. Thanks! Alleghany is where the tourney was won. I know there are pools there that have decent spotted bass (2 to 3 pounders). That weekend wasn't the greatest to showcase those rivers because of the low pressure system that set in but I know there's bigger fish there. Let me know the next time you fish there.
