I'm a hairstylist and you definitely don't need to wash your hair right before coming into the salon! I wouldn't recommend coming in with it extremely oily/dirty but it doesn't need to be washed the same day for sure. p.s. I just found your videos and I really enjoy them!

I love that! Vivian Maier is a huge inspiration of mine, check out her work and her story if you’re not familiar. her work wasn’t discovered in her lifetime, she just liked taking photos

A fiber arts hobby that I really love in addition to my knitting and crocheting is needle felting! I make needle felted pictures and it's so fun.

All the cozy/chatty vlogs! Yes please 😊 I worked at a LYS LITERALLY (oof) 40 yrs ago; my boss (owner) felt very strongly I pronounce it “skay-n” (rhymes with “gain”). I think it’s regional dialect kinda thing, maybe. I’m with you, BALL OF YARN. Bam. Hope you’re all settled! ☺️🫶🏻 xx

I made the eternal seasons cardigan as my second ever project and it turned out BEAUTIFUL such an easy pattern to follow, I wore it through winter for layering and now it's summer in NZ and I'm getting heaps of wear out of it too ~ defs recommend <3 i made mine in grey alpaca wool

Setting an intentional goal of wanting to travel more has helped me a ton the past few years with tackling overconsumption habits I had. Along with budgeting for higher quality items that I genuinely want, made from natural fibers. I’ve also been able to find secondhand items made from natural fibers which saves money :) I keep an ongoing wishlist of items I’m looking for to give me some guidelines whether I’m buying secondhand or new

Hahaha that is so fair!!! Especially if you don’t know what hobby is going to stick, it’s easy to spend on a bit that you won’t use… but at the very least it’s not fast fashion!

Agree with the "get a hobby so dont shop". Started sewing a couple of years ago. Now I cant remember the last time I bought a clothing item (no really). BUUUT you can easily spend alot on sewing; or other hobbies of course. People say sewing and buying fabric are two different hobbies😂. And all the notions, patterns and extras... And I recently started with knitting and crocheting too. So needles and yarn now get my attention. Especially the latest christmas & new years sale of a website called hobbii. I nearly caved in, but persisted! Anyway dont fall into a rabbit hole and use what you have first before buying more (which I need to tell myself more😂)
