There's just no sound like a Huey! So much history in it. Thanks to everyone who restore them and fly them.

To hear the gas producer turbine working, how little RPM increase to hover..(lightly loaded) knowing how much available power there is...😎👍.. And to HEAR the ETL transition, smooth "puffing" in back wake..as rotor becomes more efficient, and helicopter "pulls" more as a little foreward cyclic pushes through..without adding any more power than what was used to hover.. then coming out of ETL on short final, gas producer ramping back up to churn the hovering airflow again.. The Huey is a full experience of the full senses..it really is a symphony of mechanical sounds, each identifiable.. That 8' tail rotor is effective too!

There’s NOTHING like the chopping sounds of the UH-1H Huey’s rotors! That sounds like freedom to me! 🫡

My father maintained Hueys at the Niagara Falls NY Army National Guard base for over 20 years. He restored as an SSG. I spent a lot of time at the base with him watching the Hueys being maintained and taken out on ramp so the guys could start them up and the pilots could take them up for a flight.

I’m in awe of the restoration undertaken by theses gentlemen. Thank you for your service and devotion to seeing this project through. She really looks better that new. Shiny, no ripples, perfect glass. If she were mine I’d run it no doors and a dozen or so combat holes strategically placed to keep air circulating. Where’s the neatest dealership?

This pilot has the wobbles. I have flown this type of model and it’s got its quarks. There are bolts and screws on the skids that protrude slightly up on each side. It was my only accident flying. I got out of the helicopter and caught my pant leg on one of them taking me down.

Pero el Bell, tiene un error en la información del techo de vuelo, es menor a la que tu nos indicas, por ende yo estoy por los Leonardo 139 M y después por el H 145 M, saludos

I was lucky enough to fly one of the Army National Guard's last Huey's during our FTX for U.S. Army Sniper School in 2004. Skimming the treetops Ghillies on, with our legs hanging over the skids is one of the best times I've had during my military days. Thank you Huey, you've EARNED an Honored place among the Grunts.

I never had the chance to fly in a Huey lots of Black hawks and CH-47. In OEF/OIF but when I did see one in the air back in the states my thoughts and prayers went up for all the brave pilots and crew how many lives did the Huey save well during and after Viet Nam. God Bless the Air Cav a true angle of mercy to those in need and a angle of death to our one time enemy. The last sentence I say with respect to both sides when your country calls you do it the best you can and not let your buddies down. "Climb to Glory" OEF/OIF 03-09
