You can not cook a live cray in boiling water. You must know that. Because it comes under animal cruelty and has legal consequences

Are red swamp crayfish good to eat? Red swamp crayfish are farmed extensively in the Southeastern United States and make up the vast majority of crayfish consumed worldwide.

Taking the skirt off, never heard of that one before?? This cook doesn't know how to prepare Paua, remove the teeth, tenderize with a mallet to soften. Some cook it with the Hua on, with cream!! With Floaters soaking up the creamy juices yumo!! No need to waste Paua like this pakeha bloke, that's humbug!!
@thomasgowans3837
@thomasgowans3837 2 жыл бұрын
Us black fullas on the east coast of Australia do it the same way as you mentioned. By giving it a tenderise with the mallet. A quick fry and smack it on a sandwich. Otherwise we dive, collect, scrub it on the rocks, bash with rock, wash in ocean and the put back in shell and put on the fire. That’s my absolute favourite way!

Great video....but I don't think God made crayfish for food. Leviticus 11: 9 -12 NLT 9 “Of all the marine animals, these are ones you may use for food. You may eat anything from the water if it has both fins and scales, whether taken from salt water or from streams. 10 But you must never eat animals from the sea or from rivers that do not have both fins and scales. They are detestable to you. This applies both to little creatures that live in shallow water and to all creatures that live in deep water. 11 They will always be detestable to you. You must never eat their meat or even touch their dead bodies. 12 Any marine animal that does not have both fins and scales is detestable to you.

not all crayfish are born equal.... the painted crayfish or rock lobster from fropical areas look pretty but do not taste quite as good. These Southern rock lobsters (NZ tas vic) ot western rock lobsters (from WA) are by far tje superior tasting varieties. generally crayfish refers to freshwater with lobster and rock lobster being the basic salt varieties. Lobster having claws and rock lobster without claws. They are all: Animalia, Anthropoda, crustacea, Malacostraca, Decapoda... with lobsters being: Achelata and crayfish and rock lobsters being: Astacidea
