That "synth sound" is an old Hammond B3, going on 60 years old and still cranking out that amazing sound. It's becoming the Stradivarius of keyboards.

Illian Pipes similar to bag pipes but has 2 octives instead of , it is not electrical, just an amazing instrument.

Greatest Show on Earth and Poet and the Pendulum (both live at Wembley)..... I can't wait for you to react to those 😊😊😊. Yes the "sorrowful but uplifting" aspect is something i can't get enough of in music. It's stunning. Pink Floyd's Great Gig in the Sky is a beauty for that, and also underpinned by transient shifts to a major key from a predominantly minor tonality. You'll also hear a lot of that in Poet and the Pendulum. Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean (live Buenos Aires) is also a song of Nightwish that has an extremely dissonant minor tonality but makes a sudden but beautiful shift to major at the end of the song.
