Thanks, I learnt from my mistake of the previous day to dry the exterior of the camera where the buttons are every so often to stop it malfunctioning. The camera did recover.

Thanks there was a lot of rain falling north of the village which ended up in our stream which became a torrent. A few bridges are still closed awaiting structural assessment.

Agreed Storm Babet put so much water into this stream that it flooded streets, houses and wrecked cars. The force of the water and debris bent the railings of the pedestrian bridge show 40 seconds into this film.

For years I could remember there was only ever 2 rigs moored in Dundee at any one time, I was amazed when a third rig came in while there was already the usual 2. 6 rigs is amazing but I think the record is 8, I’m not entirely sure. Any idea why there was suddenly so many at one time?
@DanYule55 Жыл бұрын
Did you manage to get any footage of Valaris Norway departing yesterday?

I can see the crane from my living room window but it always seems to be in operation when I’m not looking lol. Glad I can see it getting used on this video.

I share your frustration. A lot of time seems to be spent attaching the hoisting gear to the top of the tower and releasing it

Excellent capture and Invergowrie looked a lot less busy with onlookers compared with some of the stations it passed through today. I had considered going here myself but decided to give stations a miss today because of the probable madding crowds.👍

Funny how they couldn't sell the property for years but the land will be worth a small fortune and a suspicious fire breaks out and now it will be demolished and they can sell the land to developers without them having to pay for demolition costs so far more attractive to buyers now and a win win for all involved!!
@Rayfaedundee Жыл бұрын
Such a shame to see such an iconic building like this so badly damaged by individual fire raisers in Dundee. Looking at the state of the building now, it will probably need to be demolished which will cause so much disruption in the town centre. This long established furniture store closed its doors in 2011, and it was war marked to be converted into student flats using the original structure, but because some arsonist fire raisers on Sat 12th Nov at 6pm decided to torch the whole place then that’ll not be going ahead now. Idiot individuals in Dundee who get kicks out of doing stuff like this, just can’t leave things or empty buildings without destroying them.
@keithspottiswoode5594 Жыл бұрын
I suppose what’s left will have to be demolished?…😢

The steel girders of the frame are still there but I imagine after such a fire they are not sound.
@Clavinovaman Жыл бұрын
Of course. Developers no longer have an issue as the listed building is destroyed. Student flats most likely, I’d say….
