I had my first treatment yesterday. During the process you feel a little tenderness wherever there's inflammation but you let them know and they turn it down. You have to get a series of this of treatments in order for to be long-lasting and permanent. I felt 75% better and didn't need my ibuprofen!

@@energyrep777please don’t tell me they’re only $2,800 because they charge SO much to get treatment . It’s honestly left me quite bitter about it. $780 for 8 sessions first session was $50 and that was about 30 minutes to find the area and plan treatment and the 8 sessions are about 5 minutes … so it’s nearly $100 for 5 minutes . I’m 3 sessions in and don’t feel much different. Will try running today and see if the inflammation gets bad .

**************** Regarding the "me too" device referenced in the 510(k) application: (from the 510(k) application for that referenced device as follows) In my opinion, the FDA fell far short by accepting the following application as it appears below. Dermablate Effect Common Name: Dermablate Effect Classification Name: Instrument, surgical, powered, laser 79-GEX 21 CFR 878.481 Equivalent Devices: MCL 30 Dermablate Lux2940 Erbium Fractional Handpiece Profile ProFractional Handpiece Photosilk Plus Cellactor SC1 D-Actor Vibration Massage System Device Description: The Dermablate Effect is a pulsed Er:YAG laser emitting a wavelength of 2940 nm, that can optionally be equipped with a pulsed light module (APL) and an acoustic wave module (AW). Intended Use: The Dermablate Effect Er:YAG laser with handpiece of larger spot sizes is intended for use for coagulation, vaporization, ablation or cutting of soft tissue (skin) in dermatology, plastic surgery, oral surgery and ophthalmology (skin around the eyes). The Dermablate Effect Er:YAG laser with fractional handpiece is intended for dermatological and skin resurfacing procedures. The Dermablate Effect can be equipped optionally with the following modules: Asclepion Pulsed Light (APL) and Acoustic Wave (AW). The Asclepion Pulsed Light is intended for permanent hair reduction, treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions and inflammatory acne. The Acoustic Wave is intended for the activation of connective tissue. Comparison to: The Dermablate Effect is substantially equivalent to the MCL 30 Dermablate (with regard to the Er:YAG laser module with handpiece of larger spotsizes), to the Lux2940 Erbium Fractional Handpiece and the Profile ProFractional Handpiece (with regard to the Er:YAG laser module with fractional handpiece) to the Photosilk Plus (with regard to the APL module) and to the class 1 products Cellactor SC1 and D-Actor 200 (with regard to the AW module) with the same principles of operation, and the same indications for use. Nonclinical Performance Data: None

Re: OrthoGold 100, Therapeutic massager, Section 510(k) premarket notification K182682, The OrthoGold 100 is intended for the activation of connective tissue. Predicate device (this is what the OrthoGold 100 is claimed to be substantially equivalent to): Asclepion Laser Technologies GmbH, Use: Dermablate Effect, FDA 510(k) K081541 Continued with info furnished with TRT filing for the OrthoGold 100: Device Description The OrthoGold 100™ is a pulsed acoustic wave device. It includes an electrically powered generator to generate transient compressed air that rapidly expands to create the acoustic waves, which in turn are propagated through a water-filled coupling membrane attached to the hand-held applicator. The hand-held applicator reflects the acoustic waves towards the treatment area through a silicone membrane and ultrasound transmission gel. Performance Data Verification and validation testing was performed and demonstrated that the OrthoGold 100™ meets the design specifications and is safe and effective for its intended use. All tests required by the verification and validation plan were completed and passed. The OrthoGold 100™ software was validated and demonstrated to be of a Moderate level of concern; while hazard analysis / risk management was performed and demonstrated that all risks are mitigated to an acceptable level. The OrthoGold 100 was tested and demonstrated to conform to the general safety requirements of IEC 60601-1:2005; as well as the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of IEC 60601-1- 2:2014 (4th Ed.) and 60601-2-36. In-vitro testing was performed to determine applicator displacement, force and penetration depth and was demonstrated to be equivalent to the AW module of the Dermablate predicate device. In addition, probe cover testing and transport verification and validation was also conducted. The performance testing demonstrated that the OrthoGold 100 is substantially equivalent to the predicate device. The table below compares the OrthoGold 100 characteristics to the predicate device. @6:20 This contraption "recruits and brings stem cells that are in our body to repair whatever soft tissue is damaged in that region of the body. So it is really powerful that we are regenerating soft tissue; we are not just making people feel better." Really? Ask for peer reviewed studies that have proven this. The device used received FDA 510(k) premarket notification as a "me too" device in the category of massaging device. There are no claims beyond that and if they were, this would not be considered a "me too" device. Btw, the "me too" device referenced in the 510(k) application is a laser dermablation device, which is, uh, bizarre. Correct me if I am wrong. In no way do I have any financial interest in anything remotely connected with this industry. But in my opinion, this looks like snake oil based upon what has been claimed here and in the 510(k) application. *************************************

thanks for contrasting this tech with other shockwave devices. im interested in the device for my clinic. towards the end you said the softwave does 3 things. evidence is there that the light flash does anything productive? i have experience with using light/laser and red or infrared have healing capabilities. i dont get what white flash of light does. you also said Softwave stimulates stem cells but there are several "shockwave" devices that make the same claim.

That light is the “shockwave” it creates a mechanotransductive effect on the cell that creates a biological cascade that moderates the inflammatory process, improves blood flow and stem cell healing to the area. It’s an amazing technology to use!

I’ve had prolotherapy and Softwave. Softwave is quite stronger and results in less downtime but is more expensive. It’s also 100% risk free because only damaged tissue will react to the treatment.
@sharonreynolds-kyledc.mari3836
@sharonreynolds-kyledc.mari3836 2 жыл бұрын
Very misleading regarding “ other shockwave devices” Focused shockwave regenerates the tissue stimulating remodeling of it, stimulates stem cell regeneration & human growth factor release, and modulates substance P & CRGP to immediately reduce the inflammation and pain. It is also diagnostic as you only feel it on the damaged tissue and the hand piece diameter looks to be the same size as the softwave and we rarely do more than 3-10 visits to resolve msk issues. And more research on it than on focused shockwave? I appreciate that you want to promote your softwave device but in the process you shouldn’t be misleading people on the value of focused shockwave. There are plenty of patients in need of these noninvasive and highly effective therapies enabling them to avoid corticosteroid injections and surgery.
