Im from mexico, i just bought a vw golf se variant 2016 tdi with manual transmision. I love this car. Just wondering because of the dieselgate they return this cars that were made for USA market. A they have a sticker that says that are are not allowed to sell it on the USA. so my question is. Is there any problem if i go to the states in this car? Idk if ill have any problem because of this

Guessing nobody will give you any trouble if you bring it here. A Dieselgate VW is the least of anyone's concerns, these days!!

Proper answer should have been Yes you can, but there are caveats. My model s performance I drive just a couple miles an hour above the speed limit so I don't get tickets and get proper range under the same conditions gets close to 300 so I'm not quite sure how the long range plus rated at 400 is only getting 250. Unless you were driving like you don't care about mileage. My old mustang could get close to 30 miles an hour driving it like it was tested, but when I drove like an idiot it barely got 17.

Hey brotha. What kind of miles have you put on this bad boy? I’m looking to get one with 86k
@ArmyProperty7 күн бұрын
@@TheEverythingChannel-1-0 we’re at 65k with zero issues. Just oil & filter changes. We do the fuel filter every other oil change. All depends how the truck is being treated, but under normal use (and moderate amounts of towing) they age great. The timing belt(s) and oil pump belt are pretty involved, and they usually happen around 100-120k. Sometimes there are EGR issues, but that’s less of a problem if you drive mostly highway miles.

Glad you never experienced the turn of death as I like to call it. Mine and many other PB owners are finding out the truck likes to leave you high and dry when turning onto a busy highway. The accelerator just seems to dead space when you press it and the engine RPMs fail to match that of the accelerator position. It's scary stuff and Ford still hasn't figured out 100% the issue.

one thing i see everybody missing in their calculation is power that ramcharger comes with 663hp and 615ft torque theres no pickup on this planet making this power and getting this fuel milage in terms of power it comes close to ram rtx that gets 12MPG combined and cant tow nearly as much and im someone that hates the idea of full ev theres no way to make this much extra electricity as well as delivet it to every house and apartment this is the step everybody missed in my book best of both worlds perfect for someone like me that on daily comute never goes beyond 50miles but likes to camp 5 hours away on the weekend im sure it wont be perfect on first try but jus as ice engines first ones were less eficient than bicicle it takes time to perfect something its just the first step

This happened to us on our 2011 GMC 3500HD, (140,000 mi) while going up a grade in Utah, with a camper/small trailer. We had a mobile service deliver a Gates replacement boot, and were back on the road in an hour. (if you're stranded, you can call a local shop, and if they can find one they'll deliver it for a price. (we paid $200 for the part, and roadside delivery. It popped off again about 6 months later, but was an easy 10-min fix. The OEM boot is "bonded" (not clamped) to the pipe somehow, and when I had the turbo replaced, I think the bond was broken by the mechanic. The Gates boot uses two adjustable clamps vs one, so it's easier to fix if happens again. I've also heard cleaning the oil build-up in the boot/pipe, then reinstalling with some hairspray on the pipe just prior to installing the boot, solves the issue for good. It's been a good truck since we bought it, but it did blow a head gasket at 125,000 mi.

There is nothing wrong with boost at low rpm. Thats the benefit of diesel. Shifting under load is way worse than being locked into a gear.

I had the 2014 Passat TDI 6 speed manual. Awesome car. Wish I still had it. What makes it more awesome is using Stanadyne Performance Formula diesel fuel additive. It burns even cleaner to the point you only use about 2 litres of DEF in 15,000 km. When on the highway I used to push the clutch in to see if it was doing a regen. You also get easily 64 mpg (imperial).

I love my PB but between 8-10 gear on highway it buzzes when i accelerate slightly into an incline. I don't understand what it is. Sounds like a rumble strip. Jealous that yours sounds clean. cant find any solutions dealers can never re-create it. i'll get right on the highway and re-create it in 2 seconds.

A lot of missing info*. It was irritating to read the comments just because I know I've gotten close by behaving when I drive and being fairly close to the specified range. Unfortunately it was not driven to try and prove you can get 400 plus range. Just like gas cars the way most people drive them don't get close to the EPA range either. But they are not trying to replicate the EPA range.

consumers report test and report survey of owners so most of the vehicle numbers on people who have had no problems or more problems same. if you are a member they ask you to survey on what you own. with that said most the people with no problems do not report.

Good video. Exactly what I needed to see. Surprises me how much gasoline it will take to keep the battery charged. I thought it would use less and have a fuel tank half that size. But you also have to remember that you have electric performance through the entire 690 miles. That is a game changer. What I wonder about is what is the range will be when towing in extended range mode. I expect it will be less than half of the 690. Then the cost per mile goes way up. But it has far more towing capability than either the small block diesel or the Power Boost Ford. Towing performance will be much like the Ford F350 which is great for a 150 class truck. But it looks like the operating cost towing may be similar to the F350 as well. So where is the incentive for people who tow? Ram will not be able to sell the truck for more than the Ford electric 150, which is too expensive to be successful. The current market will not bear it. We'll see how this all plays out, but I think at this point, production costs will be too high to justify bringing it to market at a price point people will accept.
@sanmanFS2KАй бұрын
This sounds like you are justifying your purchase. It's simple statistics, a relatively large number of people are having issues with the powerboost as compared to the non-hybrid F150. Are all powerboost junk? No. Will all 10 speed ford/Chevy transmissions fail? No. There is a large number of failures and that is the issue, not your truck specifically.
@vr697getta3 күн бұрын
I have a 2021 powerboost. It definitely had issues early on. The biggest was propower was not working and wouldn't go into just ev mode. Ford replaced everything needed even the electric motor. It's been over a year now so far so good. They definitely had issues but I feel like the kinks bugs are being worked out.

Face, diesels are useless ever since they started putting DPF's and DEF on them. Gas seems to work better when you take that into account. So long as the gas doesn't have direct injection.

Loss of mpg towing shows that the real hp depends on turbos. 3.5 litres is too small. Your in the early stages of worshipping the f150 religion. The dark clouds are coming in the future of that truck. Your mind is so dependant on this trucks existence that its scary what will happen to you when visits to the dealer increase. 50,000 is very young. Lol you are in for it😂😂😂😂😂

What about City mpg vs Hwy mpg? Currently I operate a 2019 EcoDiesel 1500 CrewCab and towed up the entire west coast with 23mpg average. Diesel was never cheaper than gasoline after 2019. I suspect this vehicle will have better fuel economy "all the time". While my truck gets 23mpg avg it also gets 0-5mpg when accelerating from a dead stop, and the Ramcharger should in theory maintain 20mpg at all time. @16:30 I highly agree, if this vehicle cost $90k , you would have another year of poor sales for Ram, additionally the Toyota Prius is an excellent example of "battery maintenance required", as the main battery cell is cooled from an interior fan that can become clogged if the filter isn't cleaned. I suspect Ram will have a similar fan that requires inspection. This vehicle should cost $45k to $55k given all the maintenance issues Stellantis is known for.
