Come on guys Leo Thompson is exploring the market to get what he's worth as any sensible person with a very short time as an elite athlete should do. That's not a slight on the Knights. The Knights have a huge advantage in keeping Leo as the only club that can upgrade him for 2025. As for Brailey, it's an indication of how much the club values him that they have not let him go to Parra this season despite only playing 61 games across 5 seasons. As for the criticisms over the Knights' lack of points and the halves I think that's fair enough, they're scraped into 4 finals in the last 5 years a couple of times with negative for and against and that's not likely to be sustainable BUT that they're mostly a pretty good defensive team which suggests to me that if they can get any improvement in the halves they'll be a lot better than a spoon team in 2025.

People have called Gus a genius for signing these players from other clubs but in the background, they're losing players like Itula Seve and other jrs. As far as I can see it's not the Penrith model of building the club from the ground up and supplementing great juniors with players from other clubs. What Gus seems to be doing is what got the Dogs into trouble a while back under Des. They might win a title but they might not and at some stage they're going to have a top heavy salary cap and a gap in their junior talent. PS. Knights aren't out of the running for Leo T. The advantages the Knights have are incumbency, his brother at the club, they can match most offers AND they can upgrade Leo for 2025 which no other club can do.

What on earth was NSWRL thinking in reappointing Laurie Daley? Did they look at his record? I do not buy the argument that there's no coaching required at Origin level. You only have to look at what Madge did to change up the team to rescue the series this year. If Loz coaches anything like he did when he was last in the chair NSW are doomed.

Ben Hunt definitely didn't play as well in 24 as previous seasons. He's short kicking game really sucked this season.
