Great vid. cant seem to make my mind up between this bike and TE300. never owned a 2 stroke. and plus you can tag a 2 stroke for the road now. Only thing that issues me is the Maintenace interval times on the 500's. Mainly be doing wood riding and short distance road rides. ( I also own a XR650L) Also, how does this bike do in first gear on slow single track. any stalling problems? Thanks, Matt
@dadmode55458 ай бұрын
For a stock bike, even without an ecu, it was one of the best performance bikes I’ve had. First gear is great but that’s really preference. I hard enduro and hare scramble mine on top of regular road and bdr stuff. Haven’t felt a need to change gearing. No flame outs but I also put the get ecu on it after break in. A TE300 would be slightly better in woods but terrible on the road.

@dadmode55459 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yes, it just depends on size and placement. I don’t really do symmetrical rigs, though sometimes it just works out well. I’d say keep the go pouch on the apposite side of your life-saving reloads. So, if you are reloading with your left hand, you’d want your fastest magazine access on that side and relatively unobstructed. So gp pouch, generally, would work well in the opposite side.

If you like the belt kit style rigs I can recommend the lunar concepts hx harness paired with the tracer elastic rear strap. The chest straps are verticle adjustable without any cutting modification and has 4 rows of molle to pair with a beeze long hydration carrier. I have the bottom front strap about level with my belly button and there is still a couple more inches of strap to have it go lower. Just don't like the rear strap the HX comes with. A lot of extra strap that doesn't get used and only a bit in the middle is elastic

@dadmode554510 ай бұрын
You lose 2 rows, essentially, from other TT offerings. Not enough to worry about given the pros. Plus, you can always build out down. So get larger (taller) GP pouches etc.
