Imagine a one day mandatory course on menopause! It could be explained in one slide. I don't think I'd ever want to work at a company with this CEO.

Ugh!😢 I really empathize with this. It took 3 years of Dr. being dismissive of symptoms. One night in pain it was like white lightning -all I could see was white and like you I’m always trying to not upset & just manage it but I literally was not functional. My husband took me to ER, they set me up with pain relief, did a scan and didn’t see anything life threatening and quickly whisked me out, feeling a bit like I wasted their time? I had been having symptoms for 7 yrs, then adamant talking to my Dr. about this for 3 years when after ER I was finally referred to a gynecologist-long story short, after hysterectomy & pathology in my f/up- SHE gave me a hug 🤗, I was thrown off -she then apologized saying in looking at pathology & history of noted,I shouldn’t have ever had to endure this for the length of time at the severity I had. I really appreciated that recognition/validation but I felt sad that it took soo long and it shouldn’t have.

Hello. In a short span of a few months, I have gained knowledge about Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). It saddens me to observe the limited understanding of this condition among the general public. I would like to express my gratitude for your informative webinar.

it took me 13 years and moving to another country to get a diagnosis. brittish doctors constantly told me there was nothing wrong with me, I was being dramatic, periods are meant to be painful, I had a terrible pain tolerance, I was faking it. they never investigated (and also never told me how to take mefenamic acid properly). mentioned It in passing to a portugese doctor once. (had visibly doubled over from pain mid appointment and I brushe it off as 'oh it's just a period cramp) and was immediately sent for an ultrasound. yeah the ultrasound showed adenomyosis very clearly. when I was told the result I was sobbing because I finally had an answer and a reason for my pain. I didn't feel like I was going crazy anymore.

Minor comment: why do we call "women's reproductive years" to the years of adulthood, say, pre-menopausal? Why we just don't call it "women's menstruating years", or "active cycling years"? If we want to move forward from limiting narratives about women's main role in society being reproduction...

Same here. Feom the UK and have suffered with chronjc pain for years - it has taken 20 years to get this diagnosis (after numerous surgeries!) and the doctors are in no hurry to do anything at all to help. Infact they have done ZERO.

We live in a society that ignores men and panders to women with a health service that does the same so women can feel like they are being ignored but as this segment shows, it is men being ignored and women couldn't care less. Anything to be a victim. I look forward to the next lot of rubbish women come up with. How they are being ignored when it comes to testicular (a word not even in my phone's dictionary) cancer.

This is absolutely wonderful. I was diagnosed with pmdd after significant weight loss in my early 40s lead to the return of my normal cycle. With its return came pmdd. Just wanted to thank you for putting out this information because there is so little on KZbin at the moment besides little 2-minute blurbs!

Thank you for bringing HG to the public as there is not enough awareness even in the medical community. My 22 year old daughter is struggling to gain the strength to find the confidence in the system to take care of her in her moment of need when dehydration occurs the responses from the ER is mostly non caring and judgmental towards her. The simple admiration of fluids would help her in these moments yet it’s the most difficult task to get the support. Very sad when the response is “ what do you want us to do” stop coming back so often! Youth and not able to advocate in a low moments during HG shouldn’t be happening in 2023! Thank you for making HG a topic of conversation to change the narrow view that society and healthcare holds.

This woman is talking nonsense when she recommends taking in calcium in order to aid the loss of calcium in our bones. Women who think they will be safe from bone loss while going into menopause or through menopause are misinformed. Eating lots of yoghurt, drinking lots of milk will only accelerate bone loss because when we pee the calcium we already naturally have in our bones and then accumulate calcium from dairy products all gets pee’s out thereby depleting our bones faster.
