Women and girls can suffer with severe period pain, heavy bleeding or irregular cycles that disrupt their lives.
However, if they are having fertility issues as well, what does this mean?
In our last webinar of the year, we will explore when or how gynaecological conditions - diagnosed or undiagnosed - impact fertility, how this is communicated, what women can do to advocate for themselves and the treatment options available.
Our chair, Professor Dame Lesley Regan, will host this open conversation. She will be joined by Wellbeing of Women funded researchers, Dr Nicola Tempest who specialises in fertility and Professor Dharani Hapangama, specialises in heavy periods or menstrual disorders.
Our guest speaker is fibroid advocate Dawn Heels, who turned her own pain into purpose after sharing her 6 year battle with fibroids on social media in 2022. This year, Dawn, featured in our “Just a Period” campaign.
