Too bad you fixed several different things at the same time without testing one at a time (ram, traces, diodes, solder joints). Now you don't know what the real issue was.

That's cool I have one saturn shows no picture so I bought another and the cartridge slot doesn't work it doesnt read to play those games that need it like marvel super heroes vs street fighter.

I hate optical drives, they always fail.... We should have stuck with cartridges like the N64 where they work as long as you do not frigging blow into them. I wonder what the failure rate of the Gamecube is like as they had the small discs where the laser didn't need to move.

The GameCube’s smaller discs and more stable laser setup might have helped with reliability but like you said it’d be interesting to see how it holds up over time compared to other systems
