I'm able to get my new M550 to clean the stairs/steps/bench if I put it in the pool on the stair/bench going lengthwise (not climbing). If I do that at the beginning of the cleaning cycle then it will clean a step and sometimes the waterline. It is never perfect though. For the deep bench, it can clean the waterline very well when climbing, and can clean the bench going lengthwise at the beginning of the cycle. I find that it is easier just to brush the steps and nearby waterline.

I just ordered a poly scraper for my moose 50" plow. The metal scraper seems to tear up my old asphalt driveway and with the skid shoes on doesn't clean very well. It leaves 1/2" to 3/4" of snow behind with the skid shoes on. I'm hoping this will scrape clean without skid shoes and not tear up the old driveway. I found it for about $40 shipped so I think it's worth a shot. I also plow with a Suzuki 2003 Eiger 400. Its a great plow rig!
@dsmtsi20 күн бұрын
@anthonyg6221 I am still going on my first poly blade without having to flip it and my concrete driveway has no wear from the blade. You will be happy with your blade on asphalt. The Eiger is a workhorse for us. Plowing in the winter and getting buried in the mud the rest of the year. I out on some mud tires and it's doing great. Unless you have some hydraulic back pressure on the plow blade you may not be able to scrape down to bare pavement with any blade. It depends on the type of snow you have, sometimes the weight of the blade isn't enough to scrape it all away. This goes for any type of blade. But it does enough so a little sun and a few hours, it melts away the thin layer. You can add weight to the blade but that adds more wear on the scraping edge. The skid shoes are really for gravel driveways.
@anthonyg622116 күн бұрын
@@dsmtsi I received and installed the poly blade today. Just like yours, I left the metal scraper on the front for support. I agree, the weight of my 50" blade isn't very much and that probably effects the amount of snow left behind. I also have a private road off my driveway (Gravel) that I need to plow. There is usually a nice icy crust on the gravel road once winter sets in so I'll see how this does. I put the skid shoes on all the way to the lowest setting and the poly blade is sitting on the pavement. I'm just going to leave the shoes on for now and see how it goes. Lackluster snowfall last year and this winter is not much better. Northeast WI winters just aren't what they used to be. My poly blade was shipped in a straight box. Mine appears to be much more firm than your poly blade. Feels like it would crack if I tried to make a circle with it.
@dsmtsi16 күн бұрын
@anthonyg6221 Ya, our winters haven't been too snowy the last few years either. Finally had some snow yesterday and got to use the plow. It would probably last a little longer being more rigid than mine. I took the skid shoes all the way up on mine to the ppint whwre they are not touching at all but I have concrete. My plow blade does have rear welded to it one either end facing the ATV. I can hang weights from the rear if I want it to scrape down to concrete. I hung 45lbs per side on it and it made a difference. I only did it once as even without the weight what ever is left after plowing is thin enough it just melts in the sun.

No Subwoofer - These speakers really have surprised me, especially given the price on sale at only $225 Canadian. This is without a subwoofer and volume at only 68 on the Aiyima T9 Pro amp. The bass is turned up all the way on the amp though. The house and windows are shaking which surprised me. The 2 passive woofers really seem to do the job of playing down low. These are in the office are are more than enough for the room which is roughly 20 x 15. This video is to show just how much the drivers are moving on those low notes, sound quality you can't really tell over the internet as you are limited to the phone mic which is taking the video and then youtube compression etc. Also note while these are great at playing down to 38htz (and even lower) a sub is always recommended as it will never play that low with the same db as a sub can. But as far as sound quality goes I would rather have these speakers on their own than with a cheap sub that is just boomy as you would be taking away from the speakers. If you have another song you want to hear on these speakers let me know.

I lmived them to the basement to keep warm and was misting them a lot but not enough. The bin dried out and moat tried to excape and died. When I have more time I will start again with the knowledge I learned fro this bin. The castings were great and the worms were composting quite a bit once they got settled.

@dsmtsi Жыл бұрын
That did great, are it all. I am really behind in uploading the videos. The problem I have now is how to get all the worms out of the bin that is finished and I want to use for worm castings....
@NanasWorms Жыл бұрын
One way is to put that bin on the top level, leave the lid off and fluff the castings whenever you are walking by. Obviously, if it's an outdoor system, put the lid on overnight. But, by exposing the castings to a bit of light (not direct sunlight) and fluffing, the worms will dive down in one or two days. Unfortunately, that will not address the cocoons that will be in those castings. If you want to build your worm population by saving those cocoons, there are three methods I know of. The first one is my preference. After the big worms have vacated that level, dump the entire level into another tote. Put a bit of food in one corner (a tablespoon). Wait 4-7 days and go in and grab any worms that are around the food. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Your castings will be now approximately one month old and a lot of the cocoons will have hatched. You may still miss some baby worms and cocoons, but at least you will get most of them. If you have time, continue to repeat until you need the castings. The second method is to do the top tray fluffing so the big worms will dive, then sift the castings to get as many small worms and cocoons as possible. Sifting requires the vermicompost to be very dry. Personally, I don't like to dry out my material that much, so I use sifting very rarely now. The third method is to manually go through the material (after the big worms have vacated to the lower level) and manually pull out any baby worms and cocoons. You can do this one small handful at a time. You will soon get used to spotting babies and cocoons. If the mixture is wet, the babies hide in the smallest lumps! Good luck! ~ Sandra

@@NanasWorms Thank you for the advice. I have them in the tip bin now but the lid is on because I don't want flies or other bugs laying eggs in the bin. But I guess I have no choice. Love the design but worried about the wood still getting wet. Do you have any issue's with that?
@dsmtsi Жыл бұрын
Not at all. The wood is drying from the inside out, any moisture that gets on the outside of the wood has nothing to do wit the wood drying. It is better if there is a decent breeze blowing across the wood to speed things up but it's not necessary. Believe it or not the little sloped roof does deflect most of the rain and snow from the pile. You could always make a larger over hang but it's not necessary. I have burned wood that has only been drying 5 months in this rack and it still burned. When I can I try to burn wood that has been drying at least 1 year or longer. If you hear the wood sizzling and poping it means there is moisture still in the wood. It will still burn but not as well and not as hot.

@heatherba3656 Жыл бұрын
The bin and castings are looking good! Good variety of frozen foods the worms will enjoy. The frozen lettuce will go faster than the fresh lettuce has. The peanut shells will take some time, but they're good bedding unless they're salted, It's normal for a new bin to run a bit dry. It looks like you're doing a good job with misting it. As you get more castings, it will retain moisture better. As the moisture increases, the cover sheet will get wet and get eaten. Your inoculation tray looks good. The moisture you see in others is because they've been there for months and they have a large worm population.

Did your bike start when this happened? I have same issue. I put new carb on it and changed plug during offseason and took it out riding. 30mins into riding it started bogging and then would keep dying and hard to crank so i loaded it back up. When i got home i parked it on garage and went out next day and it started just had to give it some throttle. Then today i go to start it and nothing. It will crank no problem but wont turnover. I put old carb back on since it worked fine (just replaced it to freshin it up) and same thing still. So i pulled oil plug on oil resivour and it shot out almost all gas and then pulled main plug and all it dumped gas and oil and alot of it. Do you know what the cause was or the soultion? Is engine screwed now? I was hoping to drain it all out and do another oil change and filter and pray that engine is okay and that it starts
@dsmtsi Жыл бұрын
The cause of the crank case filling up with gas is the float needle in the carb not sealing. It allows gas to get past and leak into the cylinder and down into the crank case. Mine was completley full of gas. My quad would start but not run unless I gave it a lot of gas and it was blowing lots of white smoke. I didn't ride it like this only ran it for a short while. Gas is a solvent and will remove all oil on the bearings etc. It will destroy your motor if you run it like this for a long time. Your new carb was probably leaking from the float valve slowly and slowly filled the crankcase for the 30min you rode it. You now have 2 problems. 1. You need to fix the float needle in the carb with a new one and make sure it is seating properly so it doesn't leak gas any more. Do this before you move to step 2. 2. You need to get all the gas out of the engine and flush with oil multiple times until you are sure there is no more gas in the crankcase. Drain the oil and full with new cheap oil. Start it up and let it run for 15 seconds. Turn it off and drain all the oil, replace with new. Start it up and let it run again for 40 seconds, drain the oil and replace with new. I did this process about 6 times until I was sure all the gas was out of the crankcase. Change the filter a few times in the process. Hopefully your bearings etc are ok. I also bought a Yamaha peacock that has an actual off setting so even if it happens again the peacock is off and can't leak gas into the crankcase. Hopefully this helps, I should have made a video of the entire fix but I didn't think anyone else would need it. If this helped you please consider liking and subscribing to the channel.
@christ7900 Жыл бұрын
@@dsmtsi I appreciate the response. Ill subscribe for quickness. I'll start process this week. Do you think this is what is causing my bike not to start? Or since I road it while issue was there that it messed up piston or something internal and that's why it wont crank over? It'll crank everytime but won't turnover at all.
@dsmtsi Жыл бұрын
@@christ7900 I am not a mechanic so I can only tell you what I did based on my limited knowledge. But I do know if the crankcase is full of gas it won't run but it will turn over by hand at least. Does yours turn over at all? The damage that can be done running the quad with gas in the oil is the bearings will wear fast causing excess play, same with the cams in the head. If it is what my problem was ( the carb float needle leaking) the quad won't run as there is too much gas in the carb itself and in the crank / cylinder. Once yoy get it running you will know if there is damage by listening for any knocking or ticking that wasn't there before. Let's hope you didn't damage anything, I mean the carb probably started to leak when you were riding it, then got too rich so it stopped running, then filled up with gas over night as it sat. Did you smell gas in the garage? My garage smelled like gas bad and I couldn't figure out why until I pulled that cover off to get to the bolt to turn the engine over by hand... that's when I shot this video. I wanted to show my buddies how much gas was in there, lol.
