I'm building similar electric configuration (with Plettenberg motor). I really like the starter-flywheel sound at engine start. Is this stock sound from some commercial sound generator (ESS or MrRC)?

Beautiful model, you can’t beat a Moki radial but I think the sound of the Kohlm setup just did.. Wooden props saves your driveline every time…

With big gas ARFs like this, you buy the airplane for 200+ dollars, or build your own, and everything else needed separately. Including the engine, everything together is like 500+ dollars.

Black oil would suggest that the engine might be running a bit too hot. Probably a common issue with Kolm + Spitfire combo. It's a pity that Kolm does not allow to run the motor on E85 fuel, cooling would become a non-issue then.

That is Incredible cool model. I had the pleasure of flying the Grace spitfire last year ML407. Your model even sounds a little like it. Thanks for sharing.
