I also had low Vitamin D and have trichotillomania. Good advice on the supplement. Let me add that I do not pick or pull my hair out anymore. My therapist explained to me that trichotillomania is a soothing mechanism. There are ways to substitute non harmful soothing mechanisms. Seek a profession or do some research on soothing mechanisms. I found sensory fidgeting worked best for me.

Is this method ok for lace systems?...Cheers

I do this since a couple months, the only downside is that it makes the base of my system turn white and not transparent..

Eggs have good amount of vitamin d

Most dairy products as well, although for someone with lactose intolerance this may not be an option.

During the recovery from hair loss surgery, which I strongly advise against anyone doing, the main aftercare product they gave me was not vitamin d pills, but pills containing Biotin. But it's no miracle cure. Thinning hair has been mentioned as a side effect of biotin deficiency but it's in so many foods you would have to be malnourished to need it. Plus 15 minutes outdoors daily is enough to get all the vitamin D you need, without resorting to the mountain walking outdoor German lifestyle.

Please DON’T do this…. You will ruin the integrity of the hair systems base… I’ve done it for a few clients and the hair systems were all ruined. You can use warm water, BUT NOT HOT WATER! The integrity of both lace and PU will deteriorate under hot water, and I’m telling you from experience. I soak the systems in a room temp solvent bath and it works perfectly

Excellent tutorial - that is a significantly faster way to remove the adhesive. Two questions though: 1. In a recent video by Superhairpieces, the presenter said the instructions on the C-22 bottle have changed and now say not to use the product directly on the scalp. Is this correct (I don't use C-22 so I can't verify myself)? 2. With a lace base, will the extremely hot water cause the material to shrink? Much thanks and season's greetings.

Thank you as always for these tips. I use French lace and tape, so I’m wondering if this would work. I’ll give it a try. It takes so much trial and error to get an ideal routine. I just discovered the lace front Thin tape and I like it, even though it’s a little bit harder to use and not quite as durable, but it’s comfortable. The lace front no shine tape was exactly as you said previously, actually still very shiny. That kind of sucked. My latest system from Lavivid was very disappointing, though, and I think you should let them know. I found the hair to be coarse, not silky, not having a smooth hand, and feeling coarse and stiff, and way too dense at 90 percent. They need to be careful about that because I had a system from a minor competitor that my salon uses which I actually went back to and paid to have it refurbished with new hair rather than use the new Lavivid one. They need to have a lot of pressure put on them to not skimp on quality, and to maintain Soft, silky, high-quality hair. Especially when custom systems are not returnable. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem with Lavivid. I had a somewhat similar problem with Voloria. I haven’t tried Lord Hair. I did have one from Hair Skeen that was good but not great. The Lavivid seems to have the best overall customer service, but if the quality of their hair is not gonna be good, I’m not gonna order from them again. They are falling behind Superhairpieces which are great despite the simplistic name. Lavivid needs to know that and be really careful about that. They should order some competitors’ systems and compare. There’s too much competition for them to skimp.

I am having itching problems with the Ghostbond glue so I am going to tape my ultra thin poly on and see if this will help with tape removal.🤞Still glue the front with a water based glue. Not as itchy as the others, but doesn’t hold up as long. Have to rebond more often. Especially in the hot summer.

Ordering a system from the la vivid soon, wish you had more videos on the different types of hair systems that they offer and had to use their website, kinda like the color match video. Great channel tons of info.!!

I got a system from Lavivid that was supposedly 90 percent density and it looked like this one, which is WAY too dense, and also looks stiff and coarse hair, not silky and soft/smooth. I used thinning shears A LOT and it was STILL too heavy and dense. It took out tons of hair all over the floor and it was still too dense, and after a while it looked choppy on top but still too dense. Did anyone EVER get a system that looks like this (too dense, too dry, too thick, stiff) and get it to look soft and natural and good?? Disappointed in Lavivid on this one. I've had softer, smoother brands that were GREAT at 80 or 90 percent density. That's even with all of them being (more expensive) European hair. Not sure how to rescue a system that looks like that.

Hi Adam, the isopropyl alcohol, is that to get rid of any residual glue from the system and scalp? I find the adhesive leaves a layer on my scalp, hair and system, kinda like an oiliness is only way can describe it, even after removing the glue from my scalp and washing my hair and scalp there was still a residue remaining, any tips for getting rid of that from the scalp and system?
@HairSystemDIY9 күн бұрын
It’s mainly to clean the scalp and provide a sanitary environment for the new bond
@framch309 күн бұрын
@@HairSystemDIYthanks for the reply. What gets rid of that oily like residue left behind even once the glue is removed from the scalp? There was still traces remaining after shampooing my scalp and hair, it was just a regular supermarket shampoo though.

I prefer the first one. I used to go with high density but a few years ago switched lighter systems.
@mrlippps10 күн бұрын
The big mistake everyone make's is to much density ,They all look like they sit on the head rather being part of you just to much density
@HairSystemDIY10 күн бұрын
I agree on the density front especially in the early years. Truthfully it’s very difficult to get it exactly right unless you go for a custom system. People also operating on a thinner budget naturally want to go thicker because the system lasts longer
@douglasmoir441610 күн бұрын
@@HairSystemDIYso more density lasts longer? Why is that?
@panthertrain198410 күн бұрын
I can agree with the is however I would say it’s more of the lift in the hair than anything else, I don’t know why but they all have this big lift where the hairs constantly look puffy and voluminous, I wish the hair didn’t raise up so much of laid flatter, time that’s more of an issue than density
