in this case handel chain hoist is so much better than classic chain hoist. you can adjust the lenght easier too. for 2x power you can use snatch block near stump and additional strap and wire on top. easier than lifting heavier chain hoist, but little slower.

Its a very, very good machine. It seems to be up there with the CTX3030 for depth and sensitivity. The iron discrimination can be a little "iffy" though.

I also want to thank you for this, I have had the Joe 5 years, only messed with the fire ring to replace it when it warped a few years ago, then today needed to clean out way too much ash and bumped the ring, it popped off and I knew I was f’ed. spent 15 minutes and my fingers nearly broke trying to use the holes to lift them into place. After using crumpled paper it took less than 30 seconds to get the ring on. Again thanks!

😂 I’m at the same issue I guess. So my ring is no longer staying on my firebox cause I guess it’s warped. Is that when you know it’s time to buy a replacement.? I was trying to get get it on for an hour today and it keeps popping back off. Hands all scratched up 😂. This damn firebox and ring always give me issues

@@frankarmitage776 get some stainless steel wire and put it through the holes in the petals. Line the petals up as necessary and put the ring on, then twist the wire round the top of the ring to hold it in place. Repeat this all the way round,

When you get used to it, it's not a bad system. It needs updating regularly (once a year) but it's by no means a modern system now. The secret is that when you turn off the van with the navigation running, when you get back in you don't go to the navigation but to Maps instead, then it will pick up where it left off. The new vans have Android Auto which we have integrated with the W3W app. It's the future

$1599. Has much of what I felt was missing on my EQX800 & EQX600. If indeed the 50% more power claims translate to real increased depth in my test plot then it’s not a rehashed EQX. They addressed the compressed TID and Expanded It, target trace and more. I think it has a large target overload indicator, need to confirm. I’m not sure if I’ll be an early adopter but likely my next unit. The Dues2 looked good except the silly, poorly designed external wire to deal with water over the coil cutting the signal to the head unit. Not a fan of the touchy Deus coil charging set up either. Facts count not fanboys.

I don't know what the 50% power refers to either, to me it's someone in the marketing department talking rubbish! It's no good telling us it has 50% more of something and then giving us a datum for comparison. The target trace is going to be very, very useful here in the U.K. as it seems to be quite accurate in being able to show the composition of the metal below the coil. We have an increasing problem with "green" waste, the target trace combined with the T.I.D. number and the audio should give us the ability to "see" through that.

It's part of the Minelab Multi I.Q. family so 5kHz, 10kHz, 15kHz, 20kHz, and 40kHz The frequencies are individually selectable but I have no knowledge (yet!) as to whether the frequencies are selectable as groups. I feel that this would be useful as the Equinox 600 uses 5/10/15/20kHz and no 40kHz which means it isn't as sensitive to tiny bits of foil. I find the Equinox 600 to be more useful in general detecting, the lack of 40kHz means I don't have to chase tiny things that I don't want to find. 20kHz is still sensitive enough to find cut quarter hammered pennies at a decent depth.

As soon as I can get my hands on one I will do that. The Manticore is going to get tested in many ways but I think it's most useful feature is it's potential to eliminate the need to dig green waste, that's what I can't wait to try out.

Go spaff as much money as you want and believe you'll find more with the next one up in the range or brand. You won't. Maybe get a £100 spade too with toothed edges. Definitely better for digging with 😂
