I do indeed remember doing this in the early 60 in kindergarten. Afterwards we would have recess, then come back in for Milk and Graham crackers, then pull out our towels for our noon naps.🤪

As a boy in the 70s, I remember the tone that came over the PA and we took cover under our desks. I think we used to do this until the mid-70s as I don't remember duck and cover drills past then. As a creepy side note, I remember Saturday mid-mornings that we would hear the almost weekly test of the air raid sirens in Phoenix. It was creepy hearing them spool down across the valley.

I loved the show. I was so glad they didn't have black girls on the show. So glad they kept it country. Them shooting in Nashville helped. If they'd done it in Hollywood they would've ruined the show. Miss those days....

It was all by design to kill the US auto industry and get rich off the new foreign car market. The rich got richer while the poor and middle class in manufacturing towns went broke and began to decay. It was just another time in history when our Govt. sold out the US public while those in power go richer. Notice how few complained about the US auto industry until the media began a massive brain washing of the US auto industry with the term gas guzzler. US Autos=bad Japanese=good was the brainwashing. The gas crisis was the lynch pin when people could no longer afford to drive cars getting 10-15 mpg. Americans were totally happy when gas was 30 cents a gal and would not be seen driving a Japanese car.
