it isn't a talent, and it isn't being yourself, it is that languages have features and our brains get tuned in specific parts of the brain to learn those features and when a part of the brain gets good at something becomes less effective for others. Spanish has a 5 vowel system that is very common in the world, English is an abnormality that has 18 to 22 vowels depending on the accent, so for an Australian learning 2 more vowels is simple, for a Hispanic is imposible because all the nuance of those 22 vowels fits right into our 5 vowel system. when you are kid you can learn both, but as your brain matures, gets attrofiated to learn another feature like that, is the same reason why English & Spanish speakers can't learn Chinese tones in our adult years.
